I just read on Yahoo that at least three insurers have canceled or refused to renew policies after homeowners sought their help to replace the Chinese drywall that emits sulfuric fumes and corrodes pipes.

Aren't the insurance companies (I mean all kinds of them- Health insurance , home insurance, auto insurance) thieves?

I have health insurance, but their terms are so confusing. Although I pay a lot for premiums, I keep getting so many bills for the things that are not covered. Although I have asked my insurance company, they try very hard to keep everything confusing.

I am so mad at these insurance companies. They are blood suckers and evil. Do you agree with me?

Today I reset my password, tonight I could not remember it and tried to reset my password will the links I had been provided by asking hotmail, but I do not have an alternate account to send the password to (though I could swear it was to my yahoo mail) and I have no memory of setting the secret question to that question. I need it for my online school courses and my financial emails (auto insurance, bank)

Is there a number to call to get access back? They haven't been at all helpful and I really need that account.

even if you call it a fine, it is still a tax that the IRS will collect. I don't buy the auto insurance argument. People chose to drive or not to drive. A lot of people don't drive. The only way that argument would be valid is if you required people who didn't own cars to buy auto insurance.
I don't buy the argument that it will reduce unnecessary expense from our ER. Uninsured people who go to the ER who can afford to pay must pay. The hospitals can(and regularly do) sue those who can afford to pay. They always win and they always get their money through direct payment, garnishments, liens…

Those who can't afford to pay in the ER are likely already covered by a government subsidy. The only loophole in the plan is illegal immigrants. No citizen to sue, no coverage under current federal plans. None of the proposed legislation will correct this.
People will have to pay just because they live in this country?

One of president's selling point is that your rate wont go up based on gender.

Now I understand that this was aimed at women because when they "choose" to get pregnant, well it is more costly.

Okay so to pay for this, we are going to charge young males more??

Does that seem like a double standard to you?

should young females pay MORE for auto insurance to help out young males?

(Side note) If you look up the stats, females are in more accidents, cause more accidents. Just males seem to total more cars by doing stupid things with them.

This is crap. If I'm reading this article correctly, the bill doesn't "provide health care to 30 million uninsured people"; if forces people to buy insurance, yet does NOTHING to prevent the ever-rising premiums. WTF is that about?? I can see mandatory auto insurance, as one can harm another's person or property with his/her car, but mandatory health insurance?? SCREW this..I'm 26 with no insurance. I'm fine with that for now, because I'd rather not pay the $200/month it'll take for the basic coverage. But I guess I better start saving up for the fine..still cheaper than health insurance. This bill is certainly NOT for the people..it's for the poor and the health care industry. Once again, the middle-class is screwed.
