I accidentally ran my girlfriends car into the back of a truck in rush hour traffic a while back. Unfortunately I was not covered under her insurance at the time so we did not report it right away. Also there was no damage to the other girls' truck so they did not report it to any agency.

So what I'm wondering is how bad would our insurance go up if I reported it now? It's a $500 deductible and the estimates are saying around $2-3000. Also my license is out of state, so I'm hoping that doesn't matter. I am also now insured under her policy.

Also I would like to know what the chances are of getting away with reporting the incident as a non-collision. That is, telling the insurance company it was like that when we came out of a store one day. Do they have any way to analyze the damage and see what really happened or am I just watching too much CSI?

Also the damage is pretty minimal, bent hood, slightly broken grill, slightly bent fender. Could look like someone just backed into it, but hey I'm no expert.

I live in New Jersey,got my license 5months back.I am currently with Geico auto insurance.
My 6 months payment for geico is 1600$.My friend who ha same driving experiance and with same coverage and only difference between me and my friend is age differece,he is 4 yrs younger than me.
His 6 months payment is 650$
I pay my bills regularly and have got secured credit card with limit of 2000$.
I am very much worried about this..Please suggest me the possible reason for this..

I am about to file my s-corp paper work but i am wondering what receipts i should keep?

can i deduct restaurant bills? what about auto payments? insurance? what about flights?

and if i can deduct restaurant bills what % can i deduct?

i.e. lets say i have receipts for 2k in bills from restaurant can i deduct the full 2k or just a %?

I also never did this s corp thing before but if i keep all my receipts and make lets say 50k what % of that is a resonable # i can expect to pay taxes on?

Location, Tampa Fl. Approx 2 years ago my car broke down on the side of the interstate in a legally parked area. (I have police report) I left with a taxi for 10 minutes to get jumpers and came back to a completely totaled car. The driver was 18 and NOT under his parents insurance (whose car he was driving). Since then, my insurance has taken care of settling as far as paying off the totaled car (w/gap insurance) and also covered for my rental car at that time. However, I was just now notified by my insurance company 2 years later that they were unable to recover any money from the responsible party/at fault insurance company (which i guess they are fighting out at their level) and that i am entitled to pursue my $500 deductible. Where do i begin?? I have researched as much as possible and am unsure who, where, and what to do. My insurance company has absolutly no guidance they are able to give me on this matter except for all paperwork involved.

my parents just gave me a new car which is paid off. they would like to put me on their insurance policy, but they can't put my husband on there too. so could my husband get insured on the car with a different company, making us both insured? thanks in advance!

If someone is insured to drive a car – third party, fire and theft cover – is the policy still valid and effective for the full term of the policy if the insurance company goes bust? Please note, this is a UK question. Many thanks in advance for informed answers.

When my car gets written off, what amount of money do you think I will be given to buy a new car from the opposing insurance company? Is it based mainly on the retail price or the private sell? I'll be graduating this June from high school and I'll be getting a car for my graduation present! I found a 2008 Honda civic LX coupe that I adore. It's sporty it's cute and Honda's are reliable. Someone said the LX is a sports model but do insurance companies consider it a ''real sports car''? Anyways just wondering if you car people think it's a good first car. Thanks in advance!
