Why would I want government run health auto auto insurancee…?

Why would I want government run health care…?

Did you know the insurer with the most denial of claims is Medicare…?

I could have figured, because I had to write to Medicare for my [then] mother-in-law for a claim she filed for an injury she received at her neighbors, they subsequently denied, because the neighbor's insurance company "should be responsible"… So, I wrote to medicade and told them they needed to take it up with the insurance company, that they were her provider, and that they needed to cover her claim…

Took 6 months, and my mother-in-law being turned over to collections, before they paid the claim O.o

What do you think…? Government owning insurance companies and health care facilities…gives government approximately 48% ownership of America…added on top of the lending institutions and the auto industry…

Cap and trade on utilities will put them over half ownership…

Can anyone answer my question about my auto auto insurance policy?

Can anyone answer my question about my auto insurance policy?

okay, last december 2005 I was involved in a minor car accident due to weather conditions, and I had to pay my auto insurance company a "500 deductible" to repair the damages that I made to my vehicle, so they had fixed it. This august of 2007, I recieve a letter from my insurance policy attorney stating that I am being sue by the plantiff of the vehicle that I hit. Why I'm being sued if I was cover by my insurance policy and the plantiff car, and is there anything I can do to defend myself. Because they should go after my insurance company if they didn't pay for the plantiff car…. not me.

Question about auto auto insurance law/scam.?

Undecided Question

Question about auto insurance law/scam.?

As an insurance agent I've had a couple of recent customers ask me about an email they have received and I'm wondering if anyone has actually seen this email and found out the details of this scam etc. I had the email forwarded to me from one of my clients and I'm unable to view it due to McAfee blocking the site.. The site in question is https://www.grizridge.com/MTUzMzd8OTY5fD…

The content of the email states " February 16th, 2010 OVER 18? NEW LAWS PASSED New laws just passed to allow residents of the US to get auto insurance for less than $12 a month Click to see if you qualify"

Now I know this is bogus and not looking to hear that. I'm wondering if anyone knows more details about the scam and what not so I can inform my customers that bring this up..

Thanks for your help.

Should women pay higher Social Security auto insurance Rates?

Should women pay higher Social Security Insurance Rates?

Inspired by an earlier question about the gender difference in auto insurance rates, the answer seemd to be that male-caused accident payouts are higher (for whatever reason), thereby justifying higher insurance rates. That is, men are the higher pay-out risk.

Let's apply that reasoning to the U.S. Social Security Insurance Program. Originally conceived during the Depression, the Social Security Insurance Program was designed to provide some kind of post-retirement insurance that you would have some level of income after retirement (if you lived that long, which is why it is an insurance program). However, women live longer than men (in the statistical sense). And, on average, women recieve nearly twice as much social security income as men (per dollar payed into the program). Should women pay roughly double the rate that men pay to cover this higher "payout risk"?

Curiously, I have never heard a feminist complain about this Social Security Insurance rate inequity, though I have raised the above question with feminists many times. Why, I wonder, is that?

Renting a house that I own. Impact and how to go about it.?

by on Apr.05, 2010, under finance

Undecided Question

Renting a house that I own. Impact and how to go about it.?

This is a very trying personal situation for me. The note might be very lengthy but I would sincerely appreciate if someone can help me with this situation.

I have an Adjustable first and Fixed second mortgage on my home where I have lived as a principal residence for 2.5 years. The following are from the mortgage agreements that I have:

Rider to Note and mortgage – 1st mortgage
If during the term of the loan, lender discovers property is not being used by borrower as primary or secondary residence but for rental purposes, then lender will have the option of immediately increasing the interest rate by 1%, margin by 1% and annual and lifetime interest caps by 1%

Certificate of residency
I have signed that "During the term of the mortgage loan, I intend to use the property as my primary residence and it will be owner occupied".

Fannie / Freddie Mac – Uniform Instrument Form 3031
Occupancy – Borrower shall occupy, establish and use the Property as Borrower's principal residence within 60 days after execution of this Security instrument and shall continue to occupy the property as Borrower's principal residence for atleast one year after the date of occupancy, unless lender otherwise agrees in writing, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld or unless extenuating circumstances exist which are beyond Borrower's control.

Occupancy statement
I will occupy the subject property as my principal residence as required by and in compliance with the terms of the Deed or trust / Mortgage / Security instrument relating to the subject property.

Now to my personal situation. I bought this property while I was married. Around 1.5 years back, my wife abandoned me and is now in India. A divorce case is currently going on in India and we are negotiating a settlement agreement where she signs over the deed to me. But this has already taken 1.5 years and I think she might try to prolong the process. Filing a divorce in the USA is not an option at the present time. She has not invested anything in the property. I have been paying my mortgage and all bills on time. Additionally, I am commuting 2 hrs to work each day. I am finding the burden unbearable of paying the mortgage for such a huge house living as only one person in the house and commuting back and forth from work each day. I consulted attorneys in the USA and they pretty much told me that I can neither sell the house or refinance it without her signature even if she has lived with me for 1 day in the house. I have excellent credit and don't want to ruin it by going into foreclosure. As a result, I am renting out my property starting next week to minimize the burden on me. The rent will not cover mortgage and I will foot the difference but atleast I don't need to ruin my health by driving to and from work for 2 hours everyday. I have the following questions:

1. Given the clauses in my mortgage agreement that I quoted above, am I ok with renting the property out?

2. I already have a lot of financial burden and instead of dropping the ball, I want to stick to my commitment and honor the loan but would like to wait for my wife to sign over the deed. In the meantime, I don't want my mortgage company to raise the rate on the loan. How do I ensure this? Many people have told me not to tell my mortgage company that I am renting the place.

3. I am not planning on telling my mortgage company but how do I ensure they don't get any suspicion when I change my address? Should I just tell them to use my office as the mailing address since its more comfortable to access mail?

4. My home and auto policy are with the same company. Obviously I will be changing the address on my auto policy. But, I have a suspicion that if I change the address, the home insurance policy will know of the same and immediately notify my mortgage company. So, what is the option here? Should I get a new home policy and ask them to use my office address as the mailing address and leave my car policy as is?

Thanks for your help.

Question about auto accident – auto insurance company paying 65%?

Question about auto accident – insurance company paying 65%?

I was in a minor accident a few months ago. The other party's insurance company agreed to pay 65% of the repairs. We got a quote from one of their "certified" repair places, but we want to take the car someplace that we choose. The company is sending me a check with my name and the body shop.

Will I still be able to deposit the check in my bank account and write a personal check or use my debit card for the repairs since I have to pay 35% out of my own pocket?

Thanks.

why is yahoo scanning my hard drive?

Why is yahoo scanning my hard drive?

I noticed the other day my hard drive was going crazy, and when I checked my firewall logs I noticed yahoo (IP address: 77.238.187.43, Name: 13.ycs.vip.uls.yahoo.com) was scanning my hard drive. Now I know why every time I search for a vacation spot or auto insurance information, I receive spam from yahoo in my mailbox telling me how I can save on traveling and auto insurance. Isn"t this an invasion of privacy? How is this legal?

So the health auto auto insurancee bill is now losing support……….?

by on Apr.05, 2010, under finance

So the health care bill is now losing support……….?

I'm glad it's losing support and I hope it fails…………….

Look, I'm pro-health care reform.
I really am.

but I just feel they went way out of line trying to FINE and IMPRISON people for refusing to buy health insurance.

I understand the argument, "If everyone has insurance, it will save money in the long run."
But that still doesn't change the principle; It should be a consumer's right to choose.
People shouldn't be forced against their will to purchase things.

If you compare this to auto-insurance……….
there's a difference:
1. You only have to buy it if you DRIVE. Don't like it? Then don't drive.
2. You are only required to cover the car you hit, not your own car.

Should I have gone through with a "no-fault" claim for my windshield?

by on Apr.05, 2010, under finance

Undecided Question

Should I have gone through with a "no-fault" claim for my windshield?

I went to a major national auto service center to get my oil changed, and they had a person there who inspected my windshield and told me that they noticed a few chips in it. They asked if I had full insurance coverage on my vehicle, which I do, and they said that they could repair the chips and it would be paid for by my auto insurance via a "no-fault" claim.

I'm not sure if it was a good idea, but I gave them permission to repair the chips. I actually had no idea the chips were even there, and they probably were extremely tiny. During the repair, they called my insurance company, and the chip repair was approved and my deductible was waived.

Will this really have no effect on my insurance rates? And why would the auto service center fuss over a few small chips? Are they pretty much fixing something that doesn't need to be fixed just so that they can bill an insurance company and make profit?

Ask: Online Auto auto insurance Quotes, are they really safe and accurate?

Ask: Online Auto Insurance Quotes, are they really safe and accurate?

I know several people who have submitted their information into one of the many "online auto insurance quotes" and now they have solicitors all over them, on their phone, emails, junk mail and even one case of Social Security Identity theft. So my question is: Are these online auto insurance quotes really safe? Doesn't it make sense to stay with a local auto insurance agent you can do business with either on the phone or in person.
