How much auto coverage should I have in Wisconsin?

How much auto coverage should I have in Wisconsin?
Bodily Injury: 500,000/person 1,000,000/accident
Property damage: 500,000/accident
Underinsured and uninsured: 500,000/person 1,000,000/accident
Medical Payments: 10,000
Comprehensive & Collision: 500 deductible
Is this too much? My agent said something about a new law in Wisconsin making it "stack" for each car, so technically, I have double that coverage, and my premiums just went up. I'm looking for a way to get some cheaper premiums without exposing myself to too much risk. How much insurance do I really need?

Please tell me how costs will decrease when you are forced to buy something?
This bill is based on the same principle as "no-fault" auto insurance. it was supposed to bring premiums down, when instead they skyrocketed because the insurance providers held people hostage because insurance was now mandatory. No insurance, no registration.
Is auto-auto insurance in NJ similar to healthauto auto insurancee?

Is auto-insurance in NJ similar to healthcare?
Along with this choice came lower premiums – low like in 40% of what they used to be.
Was there legislation that was passed (or lifted) that made these choices and this competition possible?
It is my opinion that removing state mandates from health insurance would increase competition and lower premiums, and I think that the NJ Auto Insurance example might be a good comparison, but I don't know all of the facts. Does anyone know exactly what happened in the Auto Insurance industry, specifically in NJ?
Is the Public Option Health Plan Unworkable? If so, why?

Is the Public Option Health Plan Unworkable? If so, why?
What is health insurance and how does it work?
Health insurance, like all insurance, is a form of betting. You — the insured are betting that a bad thing is going to happen to you. The Company — the insuror is betting that no bad thing will happen to you, or if it does it will be less costly to clean up than the value of the premiums you are paying in.
No one insures anyone else except to make a profit. If a fire insurance company is going to insure your house, they want to see it first, make sure it's not already burned down. If an auto insurance company insures your car, they want to make sure you have not already had a costly accident.
See, they are betting that nothing bad will happen to you. And you are betting that it will.
It's a bet.
What is a bet?
When you make a bet — it's about something that will have an outcome sometime soon but that outcome is not presently known. For example if you go to the racetrack and bet on the horseraces — you always make your bets about future races, not races that have already happened.
So betting takes place in an aleatory context. (alia means dice in Latin — so aleatory means chancy or dicey or presently indeterminate).
The Public Option is unworkable because it contemplates an insurance company that purports to insure the future health of people who are already sick (pre-existing conditions).
This is not true insurance. There is no aleatory element. The person already has the brain tumor and needs to operation. The health insurance company that takes this person into their pool with that pre-existing condition is just making a charitable gift of about $500,000 worth of surgery and hospital costs in exchange for $6,000 in annual premiums.
There's no possible profit for the insuror because the transaction is not aleatory — it's not a bet. It's like a fire insurance company that will issue a policy for you AFTER your house has burned down. Or an auto insuror — AFTER you have crashed your car. Or a flood insuror AFTER your house has been flooded.
Those would all be charitable gifts, not true insurance.
The Public Option as described which will insure all persons regardless of pre-existing conditions is more like the CHARITABLE CENTER FOR GETTING MEDICAL EXPENSES PAID"
It's the CRAZY INSUROR.
With no profit possible.
What does that mean if it's a GOVERNMENT company?
Here's what it means: BIG RATHOLE down which the whole Federal Treasury disappears.
If a private insuror tried to offer "All Pre-Existing Conditions OK" policies, it would go bankrupt in 6 months and be gone.
But if the GOVERNMENT does that same crazy thing, it just creates a dollar black hole down which the entire U.S. Treasury disappears. There's no way for it to go bankrupt and be gone.
So, crazy insurors are not the answer to the healthcare problem. And a BIG CRAZY INSUROR paid for by your tax dollars will drag you down the rathole with it, and it will stay around for the rest of your life.
Bottom Line: You can't give everything to everybody for free. Someday the government will understand this. Right now they don't. Copy this post into a letter and send it to your Congresspeople.
What do you think of the auto insurance companies?

What do you think of the insurance companies?
Aren't the insurance companies (I mean all kinds of them- Health insurance , home insurance, auto insurance) thieves?
I have health insurance, but their terms are so confusing. Although I pay a lot for premiums, I keep getting so many bills for the things that are not covered. Although I have asked my insurance company, they try very hard to keep everything confusing.
I am so mad at these insurance companies. They are blood suckers and evil. Do you agree with me?

Car accident private settlement, please help?
As I started to turn right a car entered the road either coming round a corner or off a roundabout at the bottom of the retail park.
I was mid turn when she appeared yet she didnt slow down one bit and tbh she was either speeding or not looking at the road as I was mid turn when she entered the road and she only breaked when her front end was level with mine, causing her to slide into me on my passenger side (my inside)
there was no impact our cars didnt touch, however shes claiming they did and ive scratched and dented her car.
thing is mine has NO MARKS, no paint transfer no scratches (relating to where she claims hers are)
no nothing,
she also didnt have her registration plate visible on her car and when i asked where it was she said "in the car" then got in and drove off, she'd taken my details but i didnt get chance to get hers, so anyway i rang my insurance just to inform them of what happened and they said if she makes a claim she'll probably win as she was on the major road and its her word against mine.
is this true? as she only has a passenger to make up lies for her, i have two that witnessed her NOT hitting me and her NOT being established on the road when i comitted to my turn and NOT having her license plate visible.
i was originally going to pay for the damage off my own back as my premiums are so high already i only passed this month, but people have told me not to pay up and let my insurance fight it for me as im not in the wrong and she hasnt a leg to stand on.
what should i do?
how much will my premiums go up if she claims for scratches and dents?
im already paying 1500 a year.
and if she sends me a bill from the garage shes had her car fixed privately am i obliged to pay?
if its not through insurance?
as shes given me private quotes already.
thanks
