In the movie, Duhamel, 37, plays the father to an orphaned child. The experience, though fictional, taught him one very important lesson about fatherhood.

“I learned a lot from these kids,” he said at the Warner Bros. junket. “The amount of patience it takes, I guess, is the big thing.”

He added about Fergie, 34, “Thank god my wife is incredibly patient. I’m patient, but she’s incredibly patient. She’s a great teacher.”

The famously cantankerous American Idol judge squirmed in his seat on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday as the host dissected reports of Cowell’s engagement to Idol makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy.

“Are rumors you’re engaged true?” Leno asked. Cowell took a moment and responded carefully, “Are they true? Well, I do have somebody in my life now, Jay, yes. And I kinda made a decision this year to make somebody happy.”

As the audience cheered, Leno asked about the huge ring Hussainy has been sporting on her left hand.

“I thought she broke her arm,” Leno joked. Cowell responded, “It’s quite a big one, yes.”

When Leno called Cowell out for turning red, Cowell confessed, “I am blushing.” Leno asked, “Where did you, or may have, gotten engaged?” Cowell said, “I find this very uncomfortable. I was asleep, I think. No, look, I bought her the ring in London.”

Later, Leno spotted Hussainy, 36, in the audience and invited her to come on stage to join Cowell, 50. The pair looked giddy and comfortable with each other, said a witness.

As Cowell and Leno joked about what role, if any, Leno would have in Cowell’s future wedding – Cowell suggested Leno could be a flower girl – Cowell said that he would want a wedding “in the next 10 years” and on the subject of having children, added, “I’m kind of torn because I’m a bit too old to have kids, but then again I think it would be important to have a lot of me’s around in the future.”

I'm a 16 year old girl and I'm buying my own car. My parents and i don't get along at all (stepfather hates me, mom isn't on my side). So can i get auto insurance without being under their name? Also, would it cost a lot more? I'm an honor roll student.

Why is every scion tc for sale a salvage title?

i swear every car on auto trader is a salvage title, is this because a lot of younger drivers buy them, and for obvious reasons they crash them, the worst part about it is everyone is trying to sell them at or above blue book, how do these idiots affect insurance rates for the car for the rest of the world?

How do I reduce my debts, credit, mortgage, etc.?

Ok, good new is I did some huge home remodels that cost quite a bit and now we love where we live. Now the bad. We went well over budget but needed to finish and did about 2 years ago. We used credit, some credit cards, some loans. So here is the deal, I have a huge mortgage from our nice home. But for the last two years I have been trying to get us out of debt. Then the taxes, insurance, auto maintaenance and everything. I keep up on all of it. I have never been late on one bill and make enough just to cover it but find that I am living check to check. The two credit cards are pulling me down. Like I said I have not been late on anything, but lowering them or payng them off seems impossible. I own a lot of stuff, car etc. I have agreat job that I wont get laid off from. What should I do to get this stuff to where i can take a vacation this year, or at least not have to worry. I want to get his debt low, but need some advice. Thanks!.

What do I do if an auto insurance company is suing me?

I was in a car wreck 2 years ago, I thought the claim was settled between my insurance company and the other people's insurance company. Now, 2 years later I get a letter saying I owe the other insurance company $82,000!!! I talked to my agent and they said it's because I didn't have bodily injuries in my coverage and 2 people from the car i hit were hurt. $82,000 is A LOT of money!! And my insurance company told me that all I can do at this point since I cant afford to pay that money is wait till their insurance company takes me to court and that I should get a lawyer, while they try to work something out with the other insurance company.

So these are my questions:

1.) What do I do if I can't afford to pay that money?
2.) If they take me to court will the judge work out some kind of payment plan? and if so, based on what?
3.) Will my license get revoked until I pay off the money?
4.) If I cant afford to pay it will it affect my credit score?

Dealer let me drive off the lot without full coverage auto insurance?

I bought my first car from a dealership when I was 18. I was not told that it is required that I have full coverage. If I would have known this, I would not have bought the car because I would not be able to afford it. I got into a car accident and I was at fault and now I owe $7000 on a completely wrecked car. A few people have told me that it is the dealer's responsibility to make sure I have full coverage when I buy the car. Is this true?

I got a new car and am shopping to switch my ins. carrier. My agency found Compass Insurance – they have decent rates (I have had an accident in the past 3 years) and a lot of options. But I haven't heard of them before. Anyone have any info?
