About a week ago ,I got into the dumbest accident. We were both in the right most lane to turn right on the red light. It was dark and she was about to turn but hesitated and stopped at the curviture point of the turn. I thought she went, and the road was pretty clear of the traffic since it was midnight. She was about 5 to 6 ft away from me. I hit my accelerator and hit her. I was ultimately shocked. She set there for the longest crying. The EMT and fire trucks came out. I hit her at about 12-15 mph . My bumper had paint damage and popped out a little bit. Her back bumper had paint damage and her back light was broken due to the impact. She claims that she has hit her head on the steering wheel, which in my mind could only happen if she wasn't wearing a seat belt. The trooper gave me a ticket, which I do deserve. She chose not to go to the hospital, but mentioned that she would be going to a doctor to get checked out. She also claimed that she had injuries from a previous accident that did not heel completely, which is understandable. She claimed that when she hit the steering wheel , her neck bounced back really fast and that she had headaches. My biggest fear is that she will attempt to sue me for injuries, lost wages, medical bills, and loss of happiness. I do have the insurance, but the process is going to take forever since the traffic report does not come for 10 days. Any ideas on this matter?

I noticed someone posted that their auto insurance rates went up since they are unemployed. I have been unemployed since February and my rates stayed the same. I don't tell the insurance company that I lost my job. How will the insurance company know if I am working or not?

I was driving down I-24 in Kentucky just outside Fort Campbell(I'm in the Army) and there was an 18 wheeler behind me. It tried to pass me, but as it was merging back into my lane, it wasn't completely ahead of me and the back corner of the trailer hit my left fender. It pushed me against the railing and then into a ditch once the railing ran out. Unfortunately, the trucker didn't stop. It just kept going. I was in shock and didn't get the license plate number or anything.

I didn't suffer any injuries, but my car sure did. My car is fully drivable, but the bumper is cracked, the muffler is hanging, the left fender is dented, the left headlight is scratched, and the driver's side mirror lens is missing.

At the time, my phone was dead and nobody would pull over to help me. So I just pushed my car out of the ditch and drove back onto base.

What do I do now? I have USAA auto insurance. I've never been in an accident before. Do I call the police or what? And will my car get repaired? Am I at fault for this? And I only have to pay my insurance deductible to get the car repaired right? I'm completely lost please help.

well i was late to work today and ive been late before but thats just because i have to wait for them to open the door to let me in and then i have to get my things from the back and clock in. well today i was taking the bus cause i forgot to pay my auto insurance and the bus took longer than expected, so i was late about fifteen minutes before i was like like seven times but it was about like a minute or two late, i was gonna call my work today and tell them that i was gonna be late but i lost my cell phone, and i havent been able to find it. so when i got to work i apologized to the manager and told her what happened she told me thats ok well talk about your tardyness later, and unfortunately later never came, so she told me that tommorrow another supervisor was going to talk to me since shes the one thats opening. i was wondering if i could get fired or just written up, by the way i work at Ross, and its in california.

I'm looking to make a lost wages claim with my auto-insurance company under my PIP coverage but my employer would not provide a note in this regards because Im an independent contractor. Basically saying, I had no assignments at the time of the accident so I am not entitled to one.
Do I have any other options? Please advice. Thanks

my car got stolen from a auto mechanic shop while waiting to be serviced.the shop watched there video tapes and saw a tow truck taking my car away. we then went to the tow truck shop (mom & pops shop)and asked who towed the car. i ask the tow truck driver who told you to tow the car and he said a guy name Chris and he knows nothing more besides where he took the car. we went to the house that my car was towed to and seen that it was at the back of the house getting striped. i called the cop and they came and arrested the thefts.

*NOTE: my car was not insured since it expired during that month it was at the shop and i was waiting till my car was done to renew my insurance *

my questions are

1) is my car considered a total lost? the ecu,seats,hood,head lights,motor and more were taken apart off the car.

2) can i sue the thefts?

3) if i can sue them what can i sue them for exactly?

4) i want to get my money back for my car ($12,000-$15,000) can i sue for this?

5) or can i sue them and have them repair my car with brand new dealership parts?

6) what type of lawyer do i need?

Ok so I lost track of my account balance and an autopay charge triggered an NSF fee, ok I get it. However it so happens that they decide to charge again, and again in 3 day intervals. My bank claims there's nothing they can do each NSF fee is valid they don't wanna reverse any. Obviously it's too late to contact the merchant(auto insurance) to recoup this as they'll just say not our prooblem. It's infuriating, how can they get away with excessive NSF fees when I'm continually depositing money into it to try to dodge this crap. Surely there must be SOMETHING I can do to recover some of the money…….would have been much easier if the bank just paid the merchant the first time and charged me ONE NSF fee.

WASHINGTON – The Treasury Department is acknowledging for the first time that it lost $61 billion on two key programs designed to stabilize the economy after the largest financial crisis in decades.

The government is losing more than $30 billion on lifelines extended to insurance giant American International Group Inc., according to Treasury data released Wednesday in an audit by the Government Accountability Office. It also is losing more than $30 billion on rescues of struggling automakers Chrysler and General Motors.

Treasury says the losses are offset in part by profits earned from bank bailouts. It says the bank bailouts will net taxpayers $19.5 billion.

Over all, the bailouts are projected to cost taxpayers $41.5 billion.

I've been in auto accidents and the insurance company gets an estimate and sends me a check. If I have home owner's insurance and the house is a loss, what happens? They force me to rebuild at that location or writes me a check for the amount of the coverage? Same policy, if I say my bedroom set was lost, who determines the replacement value?

I found out from my insurance company that these people were not hurt in the wreck but in the suit it claims they were mentally hurt and will be physically hurt forever. I did a serach on their names and found out that thse people have sued so many people in the past 5 years. Both of them have sued the hospital and the other one sued for predjudice remarks against a store and lost. ABout 3 years ago they sued a man who they claim hit them from behind and they were awarded nothing. NOw they are suing me after waitng over a year to do it. I found out they want my cell phone records from the day of the accident. I have no problem with that but I did use my phoe after the wreck to call my husband and my kids to tell them about the wreck. I'm scared these con artists are going to take everything I have which isn't very much. My auto insurance is representing me in this. Should I be worried?
