<p>        Why do people say i&#39;m under-weight when I still have some pudge?
<div>I&#39;m Male, 17 years old and currently 5&#39;11 or 6&#39; and atm weigh 149 pounds with a pretty medium frame. My parents are afraid i&#39;m losing too much weight, i&#39;ve lost a lot of weight here recently, but I still have some pudge on my chest/stomach/thighs. I&#39;ve been doing 15 minutes of cardio with some crunches and &quot;burpies&quot; every night so I don&#39;t really understand why these areas are being so stubborn, oh and I pretty much completely lost my butt after losing weight.</p>
<p>So pretty much, is 145-149 an acceptable weight for a guy my age and height? <br />P.S. I&#39;d rather be slim/skinny than bulky.</div>

<p>        How come I cant see any results from weight loss?

<p>Hey guys, I have a couple questions to ask. First, I&#39;ve been recording weight loss. I started off 185 and right now, I&#39;m at 173. But for some reason, I can&#39;t see a difference! I still look a bit chubby, and thats what I&#39;m trying to shed off, the chubby-ness. I&#39;m losing about 1.5-2lbs a week.</p>
<p>My second question is, how many grams of carbohydrates should i be eating? I&#39;m asking this because I heard that excess carbs turn into fat, if they are not used for exercise. So with that being said, i feel as though I&#39;m losing water weight, not fat weight, and thats the reason why I cant see a difference in my physique. </p>

<p>        Eating disorder treatment?
<div>I&#39;m getting assessed by a doctor on Tuesday but I&#39;m just curious and trying to figure out if I can stay in college while getting treated. <br />-I&#39;m 19, 5&#39; 7&quot; or so, about 100 pounds, been thin my whole life but have been losing weight recently<br />-periods have pretty much stopped, I get dizzy a lot and sometimes have trouble remembering things and concentrating (I also have slight depression)<br />-don&#39;t binge, purge, or purposely restrict<br />-eat very little in quantity<br />-have very little variety<br />-don&#39;t think I&#39;m fat and have those body issues<br />I think it might just be restrictive eating and selective eating disorder that develop when I was very young and has stayed with me. I know that I don&#39;t have anorexia, bulimia, or a typical eating disorder.<br />Do you think they&#39;ll recommend residential treatment or partial hospitilization? Will it help since I don&#39;t have one of those typical eating disorders? I&#39;m already seeing a social worker and he says that I need more help than he can provide. I can&#39;t just force myself to eat, but I can&#39;t explain why.</div>

<p>        I need some help on losing weight. I&#39;m sure someone can help me.?
<div>So I&#39;m 16 years old, and about..163 pounds..BUT I am losing weight..And i&#39;ll get right into that. I went in for a physical a month ago, but I began dieting before then..But the doctor advises me to lose weight..<br />So here&#39;s the deal&#8230;Since a month ago, I&#39;ve been off sugar..I got off sugar completely. And I feel so much better then I did when I drank about a coke everyday..So I&#39;ve been doing good..And the only meal I eat is dinner. Yes, It&#39;s unhealthy but..I&#39;m not that much of an eater..And I never have time to eat breakfast or lunch..But I DO have time to snack..So, also a month ago, I laid off fattening foods..Like chips, or..Anything, really..I&#39;ve been snacking on mandarins, and celery only..</p>
<p>But here&#39;s the problem..EXERCISE..I&#39;m always too exhausted from school to get any exercise&#8230;And it&#39;s not because my life is hectic..It&#39;s actually simple, besides always feeling lonely..The daytime just makes me feel tired..I used to exercise daily, and I had that going for 4 weeks&#8230;What i&#39;d do is sit ups, and i&#39;d lift a 10 pound weight, along with 5 pound weights for each hand. My parents call me lazy for not exercising..</p>
<p>I&#39;m a little lazy, but..Really, the thing that makes me stop is&#8230;It&#39;s so routine..I hate doing the same thing over and over again, I get bored..I need to stay stimulated, you know? Doing the same things everydays just so boring for me..I can&#39;t join any gyms because we don&#39;t have the money..My mom and I have been to numerous gyms..The YMCA messed up my leg..And any other gyms were just..Complex..We have to get 20 dollar a month memberships, I have to pick my own schedule, I have to pick out a class to be in, my personal trainer..And, it was just too much..All I want to do is go there, and exercise..That&#39;s it.</p>
<p>So we gave up on the gym..I tried running..I love running, but..I have to admit, this is sort of a dangerous neighborhood..Back when I was younger, I could walk everyday and not have a problem..But now? Everytime I go out for a walk, I eventually run into some creep who starts bullying me. And I don&#39;t know whats wrong with the neighbors 3 blocks away from us..One day I&#39;m out on a walk, and one of the guys who live there is standing in the front yard looking at me..and for some reason, he f**king growls at me&#8230;And his kids are just messed up..I&#39;ve seen his kids(or maybe it was another friend) ride through the streets on a harley davidson,while the kid in the back held a cricket bat, and swung it at people..</p>
<p>So forget that. What can I do to exercise, without becoming bored? My main goal is to lose the fat in my stomach area.. Does anyone have any good ideas? Maybe some therapeutic exercises that you yourself use when you work out?</p>
<p>Also, to you spammers out there..No, I don&#39;t want lipo-suction, colon cleansing. I&#39;ve tried slimquick, i&#39;ve tried the Acai berry. Stop spamming me. I don&#39;t care.</div>

<p>        Really upsetting ferret question to ask&#8230; please, hard day &#8211; Help?
<div>I had 2 ferrets for a year and 4 months. Cookie and Isis&#8230; they&#39;re both so sweet. Well, at least Cookie&#8230; *was.* 3 days ago he got a blockage, and it caused him many problems. We finally got to an emergency vet&#8230; they gave him fluids, then 3 hours later operated on him. Just a short time into it, his heart gave out and my mom hung up the phone, told me, and thus my eyes and face are now bright red&#8230; but I don&#39;t think I&#39;m as upset as Isis. </p>
<p>From the time they took him out to start the fluids, she was running around the carrier looking for him. She stayed awake the full 45 minute drive home. The longest nap she&#39;s taken here at home has been 20 minutes. All she does is look for him&#8230; and look&#8230; and look&#8230; she&#39;s only eating treats, yet drinking fine. </p>
<p>She relied a LOT on Cookie for her warmth and company at night. She ate with him. she slept with him. She played with him. She&#39;s spent her entire life with him&#8230; and now he&#39;s gone and I have no way of telling her what happened. </p>
<p>She&#39;s already so small, and I don&#39;t ever want a depressed, losing weight ferret on my hands. She&#39;s healthy&#8230; but tiny. Even tinier of a ferret like herself, and I would lose her too. So I&#39;ve finally after an hour decided she *needs* a buddy again, that would look like Cookie, and at least act like him a *tiny* bit&#8230; (but I could never replace Cookie&#8230; I could only buy another ferret and name him Cookie.) I just want to help her through her pain, and mine&#8230; Cookie was too young for a *STUPID* packing Styrofoam peanut to kill him. (This is what we suspect killed him, because that was the only dangerous thing we knew of. Everything, and I mean *everything* was ferret proofed. It was also my moms idea for the peanuts&#8230;) </p>
<p>So, we&#39;re thinking of getting another tomorrow, and seeing how it goes. Is this okay to do? I&#39;m way too scared to keep her alone because of how tiny she is. She has tons of blankets and beds, etc., but I don&#39;t like her being alone. I always used to know Cookie was there for her&#8230; I just still can&#39;t believe he&#39;s gone. <img src='http://biocaddy.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>        Question about the Lap Band!?
<div>I have had the lap band since January of 2007. Immediately after getting it, I started losing weight on my liquid diet. I was down 40lbs when I got pregnant so my weight loss had to be put on hold. After I had my daughter, I went for an adjustment, but in truth, I havent been following my diet and I have not been eating right at all. I have gained weight. Now for my question&#8230;does anyone know if I need re adjusting to start again, or do I need to fast again to shrink the pouch? I dont feel any restriction with food and can eat pretty much anything!! Before, it seemed as though I could feel full very quickly. Anything to keep me from going to the surgeon who performed it, cause I know he will give me complete crap for failing. I am serious about losing weight, I just need to know how to pick myself up and start again. Any and all advice on this is greatly appreciated!</div>

<p>I need to lose 160 pounds, and want to do so by exercising and eating less/better. But would the rate of loss, if it exceeds 2 pounds a week, produce enough excess skin that it would need to be gotten rid of by surgery?</p></div>

<p>        Tips on losing weight?
<div>I been working out constantly for about maybe two months now almost three &amp; i eat right. i only drink water &amp; once in awhile ill have a glass of crystal light. no pop, junk foods, sugars, fried foods etc. but to me i dont see a change of weight loss that much, i work out 5-6 days a week. i am going away next month &amp; i want to atleast lose 20 pounds or so. any good tips?, im stressing myself out because i dont really see a change or anything. thanks.</div>

<p>        I think i&#39;m unhealthily losing weight too fast?
<div>So previously i&#39;ve been eating about 3000 calories a day and put on a whole lot of weight. So I started eating healthily and exercising which led me to a steady weight loss of 2lbs a week. I recently took a new job, which is just a part time job while i&#39;m at college. I work 4 days a week averaging about 7 hours per day, constantly standing up. I thought this would cause my weight loss to greatly slow down as I wouldn&#39;t have as much time to do any cardio exercise. I eat a bowl of cereals in the morning and lunch (usually a low fat curry or something and a  piece of fruit) before I leave for work in the evening, during work I only drink water, I don&#39;t eat as I don&#39;t feel hungry at all. I jumped on the scales after only 2 work days and i&#39;d lost 4lbs. Then from since yesterday, i&#39;ve lost 2lbs. It&#39;s really worrying me, although my energy levels have been fine and I never feel hungry.<br />What can this be?</div>
