I was online getting quotes from Progressive, Geico, ETC… My point is I put down all of my real info. I have never been in an accident or gotten a ticket (been pulled over forgetting to put my headlights on, was just told by the cop it was unsafe, lol). I put down on accident, not paying attention, I got my license first at age 16 as I missed the question and left it default at age 16 and my quote was $110, When I fixed it to I got my license at age 19 and all other info wasn't changed my quotes went from around $110 on 5 different companies to over $200 a month!?

*First license at age 19
*Never been in any wreck or gotten tickets
*I had auto insurance on a 2002 Chrysler Concorde till it exploded last June and canceled that policy as I didn't have the car anymore as a new motor and tranny was too much.
*All the quotes I am getting is for Liability only to see my lowest possible amount per month
*Just bought my first first car since not having one since last June, a '91 Accord with clear title and carfax, my second car over all
*I am only 21 now, 22 in may
*When I had liability plus comp and collision on my Chrysler it was only $162 a month, Liability for an even older car is about $45 more a month with no coverage for the car, only the people (liability)

How can I lower my quoted rates like I used to? And mind you I went back to the same company that was comp and collision that was $162 a month (Safeco) and now Liability is $207 for a '91 Accord. (Still the lowest I found was safeco at $207)

What Am I doing wrong or what have I done in the last year since not even owning or driving a car and busing around town only could have tarnished my ability to get even affordable liability?

Okay just got bought a used car from a dealer yesterday. We gave them a copy of our insurance policy (for another vehicle, but the same one we plan to add this car to). They then taped something to the front windshield. They said it should be good for the drive home. My question is can I drive it around now? The dealer is doing the registration/title. Only problem is my parents offered to put it on their insurance but when I bought the car it was just me. Our insurance company said one of my parents needs to be a co-owner to put it on their policy. So I need to go back to the dealer (not close by).

Right now the tags on the plates are for 2009 so I can easily see a cop pulling me over for out of date stickers. But I know the thing they taped onto the windshield will take care of the registration part, but what about the insurance. We have AAA full coverage on our other vehicle (the policy that we plan to add this car to). From what I've gathered from google searches, whenever you buy a vehicle your current insurance will extend to your new vehicle for a maximum of 30 days before you have to officially transfer it to the policy or purchase a new policy. Is this true? And do I need to carry a copy of the policy when I drive the new car (even though it's for the other car?) Or should I not drive the car until I get the insurance sorted out?

I'm new to buying cars and it's been a while since my parents bought one in a while (2002) so they're not clear on how it works either.lol

I need to get auto insurance but I feel like its a waste of money. I am going to pay them monthly and if I happen to get into an accident I will still have to pay them something. I figure that if I can take the money I am going to pay them and put it aside for an emergency it would be a better use of money.

Can anyone give me any advice on what I can do?

Any liability insurance that really cheap, speaking around 100 a month maybe? lol

I'm 23 ( Will be 24 soon. ). Saving up money for a good affordable used car, but the job I work at now only pays 7.25 an hour ( Thanks Economy! ). I get about the minimum of 190 a week, plus paying to stay and all other expenses. This won't be enough when I have to pay for: insurance, title, and all the other goodies to keeping a car. My dad was going to give me his Volvo free of charge, three years ago, but I didn't have my license then. Now, I'm stuck and don't know what to do.

My goal is to start college very soon as well. I also want to start working out at the YMCA as well, which is another expense ( I'm a sucker for having good health lol ). My question really is. Is it possible to find a good affordable car that's in the range of 1,000 to 2,000? Maybe even below 1,000 would be a good deal.

I got in a car accident today my friend told me if i pooped my pants the insurance company paid more. lol. i thought it was very funny but i wanted to know if it was true..

Ok so I recently started looking to purchase my own car.. on my own lol. I need your help. I saw the car that I wanted listed at $21,000. After sitting down and going through the loan options my payments came out to be at 375 if I remember correctly. Well, when looking everything over I saw that there was an additional $2,500 on top of the sale price, and also on top of the price after taxes and insurance. According to them it was a Finance Fee.

Like I said I am a newbie so i was wondering if this is normal. If not, can you please tell me what to look out for. Thanks

I got a car, and got it insured through safe auto. 2 days later I totaled my car. Now I'm obviously poor (I mean c'mon.. I have safe auto lol) so I'm basically wasting money that I don't even have to pay my damn insurance bill. So if I were to cancel out the policy, what would the repercussions be?
