Accelerated Death Benefit on Life Insurance?

I have terminal cancer but I'm currently stable. I requested the Accelerated Death Benefit for my life insurance policy and was denied because my doctor could not say that I had one year or less to live. This seems wrong to me. I am going to appeal it but would like to know anything I can learn about accelerated death benefits on life insurance policies before writing my appeal. Please only respond if you have in-depth knowledge or first-hand experience with this benefit. Thank you!

Life Insurance We have no one we trust to be a beneficiary, what can we do?

My husband and I have two adopted children ages 3 and 5. We have several life insurance policies for us but really have no one we trust to name as beneficiaries to make sure the children would receive their money. We are older and have no family or friends that we really trust with such a large sum of money. What can we do? In a trust, do you still name someone if your children are minors?

Do bad debts get deducted from life insurance premium's?

My parents want me to take out life insurance policies on them so I won't be burdened by funeral expenses and such. They both have a lot of debt and I was just wondering if this debt would be paid for by the life insurance premium.

*My parents aren't legally married although they have been together for over 20 years, so as far as I know the debts wouldn't be passed on to each other.

Why do parents take out life insurance policies on their children?

I just got an ad for a "Gerber Life Grow-Up" plan as an insert in my morning paper. The whole idea weirds me out big time! The ad claims that a child will "have trouble getting a policy on their own once they turn 18". It doesn't make any sense to me because my husband at age 25, just bought a rather large policy to supplement the policy he gets from his employer with few questions asked. Its also a bad financial investment too, several financial experts in Money, Kiplinger's, etc. have said that its not worth the money anyway.

Am I the only one that is creeped out by child life insurance policies?

I find it unethical to provide a time frame for a person to commit suicide after looking at suicide clauses in insurance books ,dont you feel this is unethical to award familes money for taking your life ?

Does being diagnosed ADD prevent a child from being able to get life insurance?

I have 5 children who I have recently gotten life insurance policies for, all are healthy, never even miss school for being sick. Yesterday, I was told my son was denied coverage, but they didn't have a reason. He is the only child I have that has ADD, is that a reason for not getting life insurance?

How can I find out if life insurance policies have been purchased.?

How can I find out if any life insurance policies have ever been purchased on people in the past and present. I've emailed life insurance companies asking them this same question and never receive responses to my inquiries. I'd really appreciate any feed back on my questions so that I can put closure on some thoughts and/or possibilities.
