When the couple, who have been dating about 10 months, first met on the Tybee Island, Georgia, set of The Last Song, “he opened the door for me,” Cyrus tells Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen DeGeneres Show set to air March 31. “I was like, I have been in L.A. for three years and I don’t think any guy has actually opened the door for me.”

That polite gesture made quite the impression on the 17-year-old: “I was like, wow, that is super impressive. I actually turned to the director and said, ‘He’s got the job.’ He’s hot and he opened the door. Excellent.”

DioGuardi, 38, tells Women’s Health that her stunt on last season’s finale, when she stripped down to a two-piece bathing suit to belt out a duet with a contestant dubbed “Bikini Girl,” was a pivotal point in her career. “It probably saved my job,” she says. “It was a defining moment. Like, ‘She’s serious and industry, but also as kooky as everyone else on this panel.’ “

It wasn’t easy to get DioGuardi to do her little swimsuit act in the first place.

“I kept saying no,” she says in the magazine’s April issue. “I mean, what crazy nut is gonna go out there in a bikini at almost 40 years of age against a girl who is 20 and probably cosmetically enhanced? I looked a little pasty. But hey, at least I didn’t wet myself!”

Speaking of moments, DioGuardi hopes she’ll be there for the important ones in her future children’s lives, though she’s guarded on the subject of having kids with her husband Mike. “It’ll be a lot of pressure being in charge of a little soul who will someday judge me if I’m not there for the school play,” she says.

Working with an out of state license?

I am in another state(NC) helping to take care of my mother for about 3-4 months while she recovers from a health issue. I still maintain my residence as well as insurance and DL in my home state(MD) and go back and forth every few weeks. While in NC I've been offered a part-time driving position(which needs to add me to their insurance coverage) I'd like to take the job to earn some extra $$. My question is: Would I need to change over my MD DL to NC? How would that effect my auto insurance in MD? Can they insure me on their NC coverage with a license from another state?Don't want to take the job if it's going to be a big hassle. I think they have State Farm commercial coverage if that helps…this is not a CDL position.

Does any kind of insurance cover this?

While I was looking for a new car I noticed one of the mechanics at the dealership loading his very large toolbox into the back of a U haul type truck. As he was raising the box up on the lift gate of the truck the box tipped and fell off of the truck onto the parking lot. From the looks of things the box was severely damaged.

Would his auto insurance, or any other kind such as homeowners, cover damage to tools that are being transported to or from a job? If regular auto or homeowners doesn't cover this do they sell a special kind of insurance for something like this?

I would hate to think that this guy just got laid off and would then be out for thousands of dollars to get a new toolbox before he started working again.

Hi I just turned 18 and last month I hit a car and was dropped from Geico because it was my 2nd at fault accident. It just left a scratch on the car but still. I want to go to college full time and I need a job but I cant go to college at all if I have to pay 300 a month, which esurance was the lowest quote I got. So is there any places that can help me with my insurance so I can work part time and go to school full time?

i was in a minor auto accident in december i was driving my boyfriends truck(he has a policy that covers anyone driving his vehicle) and i backed into another car….the cops came out and there was no damage to the truck but the lasys van had a busted headlight and i mean the plastic broke but the bulb still worked…well its been almost 2 months and the insurance hasnt paid any out yet but i just got served with a civil summons from the ladies lawyer for over 10,000 in medical bills and a sum less than 10,000 for property damge…now i have taked to my bfs aunt and uncle and they said that the insurance will most likely pay out something and the civil summons wont go anywhere but my question is if i goes to court or whatever will the judge make me pay out that much money and if he does and i cant pay it will i go to jail????

i am 19 and in college, i dont have time to work so i cant get a job!

Parents getting me a car for 16th Birthday?

My 16th birthday is coming up in June. All i really would like is a car. But cars are expensive and I am really into Auto body, and mechanics. I can't get a job yet cause i'm 15. I did however get an interview at a resteraunt in our town. I go back in March for another interview cause they were maxed on their 15 year olds. I am hoping my parents will get me a project car..so that would be around $100-$1,000 and i'd like to make payments to them when i get a job. I am also going to write a paper on why i should get a car for my birthday. I have alot of reasons, but what are some reasons as to why i should get one?

I have a twin sister and she doesn't have her license..so I am going to have to drive us to school, and other places.
Plus it'd be nice to drive to my volunteer work (4 places)
If i need to go to the store or something I can just go.
Also when i get a job i want to pay for my gas, if they will pay my insurance.
I'm responsible and have never gotten into a wreck, and i've had drivers ed.

Please help!! =/
