I just bought a used car from a private seller. I have all the registration paperwork needed. Now I just need to get insurance. I found a great price with USAA for $35/mo. (This especially pertains to USAA member) Once I pay for the first month, how do I get a proof of insurance to bring to the DMV? How long does it take the insurance company to mail you this proof? Can I print it from my computer? Finally, with insurance, are you on a contract for 6 months or can you cancel at any time? (I used to be on my family's plan so this whole thing is new to me)

Are premiums raised every time you get sick like premiums are raised every time you get in an auto-accident? If you get an existing condition WHILE being covered under an individual plan, do they raise premiums by a lot?

My husband has his own commercial insurance for his work van, and never drives my car. Do I have to have him on my policy?

for my GPA, i have an A and 2 C+'s, witch letter wise isnt a B average. but if you average out the %'s it is 81.7 witch is a B average.

What do they take for auto insurance the letters, or the %'s

I am wondering if being prescribed medical marijuana would decrease the chances of getting a job in California. I know that for some it may but in general what is the overall view. A lot of people are prescribed here in CA, so how do they work if they have to pass a drug test, or would you not be required to pass that part of the drug screening with proper paperwork.

Also, does this go onto some kind of record that could hurt you down the road? I have heard it can mess with your insurance as well.

I was in a car accident a few years back and still have back pain (had surgery) and problems with anxiety. I have been looking into this but do not want this on some kind of record, or to be a problem with work.

If anyone out there knows if it effects insurance, work, or your records please help!!
