New car, new insurance title– all with daddy's name on it. And while I'm the one responsible for all payments, I'm torn on how to go about telling him. They suspended my license for 15 days, handed me a $429.00 ticket, and took 6 points off my license.
If I find a driving school and do lessons or however that's done, and present that on my court date, will this help at all…reduce the points taken off my license…something!?
I'm most concerned about what the hike on my auto insurance is going to look like..anyone have ideas as to what kinda damage I should be looking forward to?

my daughter bought a used car and was told by the seller that he would keep his insurance on the car for a couple of weeks so she could find her own insurance. Well a couple of days later she was pulled over and when the cop asked for her insurance papers, they were not in the glove box. Now we can not fond the seller to get a copy of his insurance. Does anyone know how we can find out which insurance company insured the car? When you register your car does DMV write down your insurance information? I added her car to our policy the same day she got the ticket. Any help would be appreciated. The ticket amount is $1100.00! Thanks Gary

I bought auto insurance from AIG on-line; the policy does not state that I am or am not covered when renting a car. I live in Texas. The policy I have does note various 'endorsements' related to Texas. When I call the help desk at AIG and ask if I am covered, they cannot tell me. Does the Texas Auto Insurance endorsements require that my insurance go with me when renting a car? If I am also driving someone else's car, what coverage would go with me as part of standard Texas policy? I have Liability, Uninsured/underinsured, coverage for damage to my auto (other than collision/collision). When I rent a car from say Enterprise, if my own insurance is in force, what extra coverage should I get so I do not have to pay a thing if their car gets scratched or dented? thank you…..frustrated in Texas.

I have State Farm insurance. I'm planning on renting a car next week. Can I temporarily transfer the insurance on my car to the rental?

My car just broke down and i've never taken a car to an auto shop before so i don't know what goes on. So was wondering if they need insurance information or any other type of info so i can make sure to have everything ready when i bring it in…

I parked my car on a side street while on a school trip and someone smashed my window and took a few things from my car… I'm calling my insurance company in the morning.. and I do have a police report.. but I have never had to deal with anything like this. i swear every car on auto trader is a salvage title, is this because a lot of younger drivers buy them, and for obvious reasons they crash them, the worst part about it is everyone is trying to sell them at or above blue book, how do these idiots affect insurance rates for the car for the rest of the world?

i got in a accident today and damaged a mans bumper, he has 200 $ deductible , there is no damage to my truck, he said to me instead of going to autopac i could just buy him a new bumper, he priced one out at 550 bucks , so should i just go this way cause if i go threw auto pac i loose merits my license will go up more insurance , whats thee best thing to do
