I was arrested for not having a drivers license in another state, what can i do?

I was arrested for not having a drivers license in another state, what can i do?

I am from Dallas, TX and I went on a trip to Florida for a concert. On the way back I was stopped by a trooper for speeding (i know its my fault i had very little sleep…24hr drive!). The officer asked me for my license, registration and insurance. I had everything except for my license so he arrested me and took me to jail.
I got a ticket for speeding, which I paid as soon as I got home. But my other ticket says I have to go to court for not having a license. What are my options?

Details.
I was driving my friends car while he rested in the passenger seat. (he had the insurance and registration)
It was in Florida county Osceola.
My bond was 1000 for being out of state.
I chose for a state attorney to be assigned.
My court date hasn't been set yet.

Oh and how can I get my bond money back?

How much are you paying for your kids auto insurance?

Recently, I brought my daughter a 2002 Camaro v6 for 7,800 with taxes included. I pay 127 dollars a month for insurance. She is about to be 16 and able to drive on her own. She is very responsible, gets great grades and has very few friends.

How much do you pay for your child's insurance? I heard that buying them a sports car would make the insurance go very high but that hasn't been the case.

Should I have gotten so irritated with my wife over this?

Should I have gotten so irritated with my wife over this?

I was out with my wife at the mall last weekend, and we ran into her sister and some friends. Since it was Saturday and none of us had work, we elected to go on an outing, however there was not enough room for all of us in her sister's car. (My wife and I currently commute by bus, as it's cheaper than gas and insurance). Her sister left stating that she would take her friends home so they could get their own vehicle. However after 30 minutes, I decided I was getting chilly and told my wife I was just going to wait at home–a few blocks away.

I walked home and dozed off, and when I awoke, I discovered it was 3 hours later, and my wife was not home. I called and asked what was up, and she informed me that she was with everyone else and that she'd be home in 20 minutes. I was a bit annoyed that they didn't drive up the road and ring the bell for me, but I said okay.

8 hours later, she walks in the door and tosses herself on the couch with a loud sigh, saying, "Ohhh man, what a night! We ran into so and so, and we went bowling and this and that, and then they ran into some friends, and we went to a barbecue and blah blah blah…what a night!" I continued playing my Xbox and said, "Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself." She asked, "What's with the attitude?" and I replied, "Maybe it would have been nice if you called and asked if I'd like to join, you know?"

She was like, "Oh come on–I don't have to drag you everywhere! You're a grown man, I think you can entertain yourself!" and I pulled out the marriage certificate and said, "Maybe I need reading glasses, but I'm looking really good, and the bride's name appears to say Ashley xxx, not Microsoft Xbox 360! Or am I reading it wrong?"

Well, we got into an argument after that, and things have been icy between us. What is your opinion? I personally think that if I had done that to her, I probably would have sleeping on the porch swing! Isn't that what marriage is about–doing things together?

What should i do now? Where do i go from here?

What should i do now? Where do i go from here?

I'll start from the basics of my experience. I have been riding for 8 1/2 years. For the first 6 months it was just hour lessons then after that I started going to the Saturday pony care clubs at a variety of stables. I'm 15 now. At the moment I am loaning a pony from the stables I started at 2 months ago. I go up and see him Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and every other Friday in the school term and everyday on holidays. I would go up every day but i live a 30 minute drive away and there aren't any bus routes out there. I am loaning this pony for 3 months (should be 1st April until 1st July but i started a week early as i'm going away next unfortunately). We are planning on loaning for an extra month so it will last most of the Summer holidays. At the moment we are paying £50 per week, so £200 per month.

I really want a horse and have just found a livery stables where some friends keep their ponies. It's about 15 minutes away if i walk it and under 5 minutes in the car. I found out the prices and they are cheap, very cheap, at £5 per week for a shetland, £10 for a pony and £15 for a horse per week. Everywhere else is about £25 per *week* here but at that yard it's £40-£50 per month for a pony (depending on how much they eat.)

I have made a spreadsheet saying the costs per month and year and i told my mum about the costs yesterday on the way to see my loan pony. She carried on asking for prices like shoeing and trimming, insurance, shots, dentist, etc. After i had told her it all she just said "hmm… that's very interesting actually" I have seen this yard and everything seems fine and safe and it's one of the only ways that people in my area can afford horses.

I don't know what else to do now, she hasn't seen the spreadsheet as of yet so i will show that to her in a day or two (i was talking about prices this evening) because i know that if i talk about it too much she'll get angry and say flat out no.

With the most expensive month going as high as £175 it isn't as much as the loan and with my own i could go up any day, the pony wouldn't be used for 4 hours of hacking straight one day per week (not including my ride) and i would have more freedom.
The main factor hasn't been the responsibility because she's seen how i am with Minstrel (the loan pony) and i have never quit in all those years, i've had breaks due to lack of riding schools but i've never stopped at my own will. She's never said "You wouldn't go out in the rain" more than once although that was her first ever answer which was a load of nonsense and i've proved her wrong since.
The main factor was money (as always) and i've said that i will go and get a saturday job in the mornings sweeping floors in the hairdressers or something, the factor was always money before i brought this place up and now it's the excuse of "What if they decide they don't like to run the business any more, where would you keep it then? You'd have a pony without a place to keep it. You'd have to sell" This place is a working farm that a family live on, they have horses and cows and sheep of their own so it won't be closing down any time soon if it ever did.

I don't know what else i can say, I'm going to have to wait a few days before bringing it up again but the fact is i have everything thought of, it's just how to present it to her without her thinking I'm nagging and me having a greater chance of having my own eventually. I'd love to buy Mini but he's a lesson horse and pulls a trap in the summer too, he's quite valuable to the yard and he'd be expensive. Where i am £1500 is expensive right now, economy isn't fantastic so it would be the perfect time to buy this winter when my loan has ran out.

Laws in Kansas for Reckless Driving?

Laws in Kansas for Reckless Driving?

I got a ticket the other day in my mom's '01 Toyota Corolla. I am 16 years old and I was not listed on my mom's insurance as a licensed driver at the time. I was turning left onto a road as the light was yellow and I cut the corner a little too fast and made the tires chirp and next thing I know, a sheriff was on my tail. He wrote me a ticket for exhibition of speed, reckless driving, and no proof of insurance. However, I do have proof of insurance, it just wasn't in the car at the time. My mom used to pay about $40 for insurance on the Corolla, since she HAD to list me as a driver in her car, it skyrocketed up to $280… Is there any way I can fix this in court if I how up with proof of insurance and explain what happened? I really don't want to get stuck driving a Geo Metro and pay $240 a month for it. Some friends of mine have tod me that I can only do it once for my entire driving record, but I can get the reckless driving disbarred or diverted or something like that, but I'm 16 and a male and I NEED this off my record. Any help would be greatly appreciated… thank you.

auto auto insurance accident–He doesn't have auto insurance or a License?

by on Apr.04, 2010, under finance

Undecided Question

Car accident–He doesn't have Insurance or a License?

Last night I was driving through the intersection when some kid ran a red light and T-Boned the passenger side of my car.

Luckily there were no really major injuries (I have a slipped disk in my back, one of my friends has a fractured arm, and all 4 of the girls in my car had a mild degree of whiplash- but overall nothing too serious). However the damages to my car have been quoted at about $3000.00

Here's the thing: the driver of the car that hit me was 15– he doesn't have a driver's license, and apparently his parents don't have insurance either. The other guy in his car was 16, but he doesn't have a license either

What do I do? I know it wasn't my fault- there were tons of witnesses who saw that he ran the red light (including an off-duty police officer), but because neither this kid nor his parents have valid insurance, I have no idea how to get compensated for this- I don't see why my insurance should have to pay for it when it was his error.

If anyone has been in a similar situation, I would really appreciate some advice

Thank you!

How can we legally take this road trip?

How can we legally take this road trip?

My friends and I want to go on a road trip this summer, but we're all 19 and under. Everyone can legally drive, but no one can rent a car, because every place i call has a 21 and older policy. I'm 19 and own a car, my other friends are going to be 19 when we make the trip. How can we all make sure we're covered insurance wise on the trip? Can we get on an insurance policy together for about a week?
