I know he likes me, and I like him but we don't, or can't talk anymore. I don't have the confidence to go over to him anymore, and we used to be really good friends. My life is P*ssing me off, and I feel like crying so bad, but I can't. I'm 14, but don't use that against me and say "concentrate on studies", or whatever – seriously – remember when you were 14 and you couldn't figure out why you liked another guy (i'm a guy), it's so stressful, and I finally see why people commit suicide at my age (I am not suicidal, btw). Life is so much harder for me, it's awkward, I try to avoid him at school but in my heart I need him. I need to let him know how I feel face-to-face but we don't talk and I don't have the confidence. Why is life so hard for me at this age, my friends seem to have it easy – why is it so unfair I feel like this?

It was lunchtime today in my middle school. Me and my best friend Gina were sitting together having a blast talking and what not. Then, I seem to notice that the administrator was tapping a dirty trashcan and putting his hand in it. I said ( I'm not going to say his name) " Your hand was just in and on a dirty trashcan. That is very unsanitary." He got TICKED! He answered like a butt," So. The bag where I was touching isn't dirty. There is nothing in the trashcan. Zip your lips." He tried to make me look in the trashcan and my friend was like ha you can't make her do that you butt. he was like " You both need to shut up." he got extremely irritated after I added on " Well she does have a point. I was just saying that it is seriously unsanitary to put your hand on a dirty trashcan." He got TICKED AGAIN! He answered " Shut up this is my job and you are just a kid." He got extremely angry and SWUNG HIS FIST AT ME AND SAID UGHHH My friend was sitting there screaming you can't do that to my best friend ( I am disguising my name with my middle name) Summer! He was a jerk. I stood up and said straight to his face " BOY! You can't do that you effin buttmunch! Come over and hit me! See what happens! I don't care who you are! If somebody hits me, I am hitting them back 9 times harder! And since you are a guy, I have the right to scream rape like a little girl and I can kick you in the groin." He stared at me and my friend and said, " Oh you are so lucky that you aren't my age." I knew what that gay douchebag meant. My friend said, " Summer, if he hits you, we are knocking the crap outta that man. I dunno who he thinks he is!" He walked away. I came to notice the other day that he had a hicky on his neck and razor burn on the other side! LOL! My friend had to hold me back from kicking him in the balls. She felt mad all the rest of the time. She thinks it was making me feel threatened but I was like haha I can kick that fat mans butt. Don't you worry bout a thing! What do you think I should do? When I was on the bus today, my administrator put her butt in my face. I said, " Lady your butt is in my face! Please remove your big butt outta my face!' She just moved her butt even closer! My friends said I should have slapped her in the butt but I was like ew she is a freak and a lady! But my first case is what is bothering me. What should I do????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I work as a cashier (i'm 17) and today these young guys came in probably around my age or a few years older and one of them was buying something at my cash and the other 2 guys were looking at something away from the cash, then when the guy was finished buying his stuff, the other 2 guys came over to him to walk out of the store with him or whatever, and one of the guys who wasnt buying anything randomly said 'see you later' all flirtishly, and i was just like 'bye' quietly, i doubt he heard me. I felt soo awkward, because obviously he was trying to be all cool around his friends 'flirting with the cashier.' But i didnt really play along. What would you do? Did i do the right thing? Because i think he felt awkward afterwards, and kind of offended because i think he never heard me say 'bye' back and he had this awkward look on his face… Was i rude 'as the cashier' for not saying bye back?

As I continue sliding down the hill the pain grows worst. Both my goggles and skis flew off my body before I hit the ground. I try digging my nails down into the ground to stop myself from going any further, but I only break my nails in the process. Then I notice, I can't see a thing! I want to wipe all the tears out of my eyes but I know it's not the tears blocking my sight, it's blood. My skis must have hit my face before hitting the ground, causing the blood to fall into my eyes. I can't think of anything worst then this, it seems like i've been hopelessly sliding down for hours without help. Then I stop, the only thing left to do is lay there, not moving a muscle, and wait, just wait. After a few more moments pass by someone finally picks me up, the rest is a blur.
The room is dark, I want to get up, but it looks like i've been strapped onto a stretcher. I look around but fail to see anything. I wonder if its the blood blocking my sight, but I prove myself wrong with a see a light coming from under the main door. A few minutes past untill I hear a knock on the door. Not knowing if I should answer I simply lay there. Finally someone comes into the room, it's a middle aged man wearing a white lap coat, and holding a clipboard while scribbling something on a piece of paper.
"Looks like you had a pretty bad fall," he pauses takes a breath of air and continues. "Sadly, your results are even worst. You need surgery, afterwards life won't be so easy it's looks like you have to give up your Olympic dream."
I want to shout "NO" but I can only let out a cry. I was so close yet so far away. Now I don't even get a secound chance…
I wake up from someone tugging on me. I noctice it's coach Ryan.
"You were screaming, what the hell happened."
I remain speechless as I look around the room.
"Surprised you can see huh? Just blood, but it's gone."
I fake a smile and nod, noticing how different the room looked in my dream. It was just a dream I repeat in my head trying to calm myself down.
Then someone lightly knocks on the door, just like in my dream. I somewhat excepted the same male doctor to come in, my instead it a young female nurse.
"Kim Venn, surprise seeing you here, I thought you were going stay at the Olympics to celebr…" She pauses when coach Ryan pulls her aside and wispers something into her ear.
I knew it was something about me, but what could it be? I was just about to ask what was going on, but the nurse returned to my bedside and said..
"Anyway, I have good and slightly bad news. It turns out a rare snake bit you and injected it's venom into you. If you came in right when it happened we would take out the venom and you would be good to go. Since you waited a week to tell us, the process with be a bit harder. But don't freak out you'll be back to normal in no time, it will just hurt a bit more, and take two days to recover. Now the bad news, the venom seems to spread through most of your body that we may not be able to get out. Meaning you will get sudden pains through out your body, but not enough to knock you off your feet. Your very lucky Kim Venn, you may not feel so lucky right now, but talk to your coach and then we will see you doing the happy dance."
She leaves with a smile on her face and says Dr. Uvlect will be with me in just a moment, she also adds in that they numbed up my leg to stop the pain. But the only thing I could think of is what Coach is about to tell me. I have a feeling it has to do with me, and the Olympics…..

we have been together for 5 years and have a 2 year old little boy. Between having a baby at a young age, and having financial difficulties I am usually too stressed to even care about sex, and this has caused a rift in our relationship. He thinks that only better sex will save our relationship, but it goes way deeper then that; he still parties and gets way too drunk if he goes out, he doesnt show much interest in being a dad other than when its convenient to him, he spends money that we dont have using MY credit cards on stupid things like baseball equipment and tools that stay in the basement.

I have huge issues with these things and believe that they need to be addressed before anything because to me in order to have a loving relationship and good sex, you gotta actually like the guy, right?!?!

I have left him twice and gone to my parents house for a short while only to compromise that we will work on things, but nothing will please him. just sex. thats it. thats what will fix everything. sex.

I also cant stand his parents, we live in the same town as them (we are 4 hours away from my parents) they are alcoholic chainsmoking swingers who have told me to my face that they will never babysit their grandchild because they 'have a life'….

I work at Best Western in downtown Vancouver. We get tourists from every corner of the world, especially now that the winter Olympics are here. Generally, our guests are well-behaved, clean and decent, considering there are so many bars and nightclubs around our hotel. What we (staff) have noticed is that the British (not always, but it's the reputation here) go out, get drunk, and then come back behaving like idiots…they get loud, rowdy and intoxicated without any consideration for others. We knew we would face this problem in the winter olympics, so we screened out the young British tourists from our pre-reservation list. Is 'control' something not taught to the British youth?

I'd understand if this were Cancun or some vacation resort, but it's not – this is Vancouver! And – there are other tourists staying with us as well, both young and old, who don't behave like complete idiots and know what they're doing when they're drunk.

Ok so im a filipino except I was brought into the American culture young so my face is built like an American. Enough of that. My grandparents literally slices every word in english. They said robot and it came out "rabat" and they deny that they said it wrong. Of course I have to say it was wrong 5 times in a microphone because they cant here a single thing. My grandfather called me a stupid beggar when I got a b in a test. And I will be living with my parents until they die. I heard him talking to my mom a few hours later wondering why I slammed the door and stayed in my room for a few hours. Ya they are that stupid. The olympics are on so when someone falls they have to tsk like crazy for 3 min. I have a itch to just slap them when they do that. Someone help me before I become a monster lol.

I'm a 17 year old guy turning 18 this year. I have always been a low life starting, I guess the word shy would cover it. When I was younger I was overweight, became depressed because my social circle was super limited and no girl wanted a shy, fat boyfriend. So I went through a growth spurt, grew to 6'4 and began working out all the time thinking being more attractive would win me friends and a girl. Well its been several years and I still have a pathetic social life and have only been kissed by a really drunk girl once. My grades suck, I'm staying an extra year. I don't even have my G1 yet and starting to develop insomnia. I live in one of the most well privileged neighborhoods in the province and am throwing it all way.
I try to throw myself into social situations to get myself to open up more but always make an idiot out of myself or am just really awkward.
I always get looks from girls who I haven't yet met but can't find the courage to look them in the eye or talk to them for fear of messing up.

Just recently I went to a local party and had the door locked in my face. I'm sick of being the "loser/nobody" of the school. People never invite me anywhere and I consider suicide everyday on the walk home.

The one thing that I am good at is photography but even when a girl that I like approached me in photog-class I locked up and made a fool out of myself. \

How can I overcome my shyness and make more friends?
