My dad had car accident before 4 days.No one was injured.But only our car's front door and side mirror was damaged.We didn't file police report.But we file a claim report to both insurance company.As it was other driver's fault their insurance company is paying for repairing directly to the auto body shop.
My question is do we have to file SR 1 form to DMV? I was wondering what DMV do with that information?Does it affect our driving record or insurance?We asked this to auto body shop's representative and he said many people don't file it.

alright so my moms telling me she doesn't know exactly what to do im probably going to call the people that hit me insurance, they have progressive. should i call them to get the estimate or do i look up an auto body shop and take it in.
my dad knows how to do all thing but he's all worried about his stress level since his heart attack. so i guess i have to handle it myself

I am a 16 year old male residing in Maryland. I'll have my license soon and I've been having troubles working out an insurance agreement with my parents. My parents want me to have full coverage and have me pay close to 2,400 a year. I would rather have the state minimals and just buy my own car.

Now, since I am a minor, can I get my own policy with an auto insurance company?
And if I have my real dad sign with me on a car, can the title still be in my name and can I drive it in Maryland and get Maryland tags?

If you think there is anything else you think I should know, please share the information with me.

Everytime I log on to check my emails, I see one ad or other about Mr. Obama asking moms and dad to go back to school or giving money away to home-owners or lowering auto insurance costs in some states, or… where does all this money come from? Shouldn't Mr. Obama focus on lowering the deficit?

I was in an auto accident, with 3 other people. We all went to the same lawyer but signed seperate contracts. Since day one, there has been zero communication from them, and due to this they never told me what I should do with any medical bills. But when I did call they just told me to send the bills into their office. I did this.

I recieve my settlement breakdown in the mail over a week ago, and one of my bills had been left unpaid. My lawyer explains he told my dad to tell me to send them into MY insurance. This was NEVER told to me..hence, the reason why my bill never got paid.

Over the last week and a half, I have made four calls and sent out 4 different e-mails, only to get responses that beat around the bush, or have nothing to do with the issue at hand AT ALL.

Aside from this, he continues to share my confidential information about my case to the other 3 people involved in the accident (for expample, the amount of money I got in the settlement..what DR I go to..etc etc)

Me & my mom are filing complaints…but WHAT do I need to include, any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated…or am I out of line? Is what he is doing fair?

I was recently in a car accident , which was not my fault…(driver ran me off the road and caused me to hit a parked car).. I didnt have auto insurance at the time, my fault, yes I know…there were only damages to the left front fender and driver side door. The car owners insurance company is asking for $2022.00…. Now, I know it doesnt cost that much to replace those parts, my dad is a auto body manager at Earl Sheib and he knows by experience since hes been doing that his whole life. I got estimates from auto body shops that add up to an average of $760.00… if I offer that to the insurance company, what are the chances that they will accept that amout and not take me to court? Forgot to mention it's a 2001 toyota camry…. there were repairs on the final invoice that had items replaced and repaired that I didnt damage… windshield… bumper… etc.

Im buying a truck from an individual (I live in Missouri BTW) and not a dealer. I will need the extra 30 days to get my property taxes straightened out and the insurance. One of my friend's dad owns a mom and pop car lot, can I get one from him even though I didnt buy from his lot or can I get one from the DMV??? Either way does it cost anything and what do I need? I know what it takes to get the hard plates but I cant do that at the moment and I really need a Temp Tag. Thanks!!!

Well, My family hit a deer on the freeway approximately 3 years ago. We went home and called to tell them that we were in an accident like we were supposed to do. Well a day or 2 later, they wouldn't do anything to help us pay to get a new car because it was totaled. Has anybody ever had this problem with this insurance company? We bought a quote from Safe Auto after my dad canceled his coverage with progressive.

First of all, I live in the state of Georgia. I have been divorced for 2 years. My ex and i share joint legal custody of our 14 year old son. Recently I found out that, while he was with his dad, they were involved in an auto accident and my son was injured. My ex contacted the insurance company and told him he had sole custody so they made a settlement with him without my consent or knowledge. He received 9K and not one dime of that was put away for my son. so, my questions are….Is it legal for insurance companies to settle in the absence of one of his parents? and…..did my ex commit a crime in doing this?
