Texas Attorney General child support review?

Here's a little background – My ex and I divorced in 2006. In the original divorce decree we have joint custody (1 week with him and 1 week with me) so there was no child support granted. He's a fireman so he's never been able to have them more than every 3rd day. Once I moved to another town, it was decided that he wouldn't get them during the school week because he didn't want to have to drive them to school the next morning (30 miles). So now he sees them 3 days a month. This also freed him to take a 2nd job as a paramedic in an ER. Now they are 15 and 13. My son is 5 months from getting his license and that's going to make my auto insurance go up a great deal. I finally started asking my ex 6 months ago to help me out financially. After much begging, he started giving me $200 a month. I'm sorry but I can't feed two teenagers and provide for them on that amount. He is making $54,000/yr at the fire dept (no idea what he makes at hospital). He and new wife live in very nice home, 2 new cars, etc. Let's just say that we DON'T…we struggle to the point that I have to buy some of their clothes at second hand stores. Anyway, I went through the Attorney General and requested a modification. The mediation is set for 2/10. What can I expect and can he fight this since the original papers say joint custody?

Undecided Question

My parents have me in a complete financial jam and I want out?

My parents have over spent so much that we can't afford anything. We drive 2008 BMWS and Mercedes and we live in a $600,000 dollar house. We have nice clothes, furniture, etc. Too bad there is nothing to eat and no heat. We just moved 6 hours away from home and now we have no money at all due to down payments on this house, etc.

I am 16 and have 3 simple things I need taken care of each month:
$220 for my insurance on my car (i paid for it myself in full)
$182 on my braces each month
$150 for clothes, food, gas

My jeep is in the shop right now which is taking forever so I can't get a job. I also get $300 a month from social security from my dad – and that is where that $150 is supposed to come from.

My mom won't get a job, and my step dad just does auto sales.

I don't want to be in this situation.
When can I move out? And start my own life? And get off of this crazy train that is theirs? They move, over spend, and are just completely insane and I WANT OUT!

I need your HELP with a Question…Can you read this and give me an answer ?

My wife wrecked and totaled her car that I bought her in January. She has already received her insurance check a couple months ago. My wife still has NOT bought herself a car. She received almost 4500 from her car.

Now, here's the problem…My wife is buying STUPID stuff with the money. Online clothes from ebay, wanting to buy swingsets for our yard ( theres a park about 200 yards from our house ) just things like that. Now, the big problem…My wife wants to buy a junk car for 600.00 and I'm pissed about it.
I paid alot of money for her car that she totaled.

Here's the thing, I found a beautiful car worth about 6500.00 through Nada and kelley blue book. The owners want 4000.00 or best offer. I was going to add 1000.00 of my own money for the car to help my wife get the car. It has an extended warranty with only 48K miles on the car.

My wife insists on buying the 600.00 pile of junk that has almost 200K miles on it JUST SO SHE CAN BLOW THE REST OF THE MONEY.

I have a problem with that obviously. I want my wife to have a safe and dependable car for her and our kids. I feel like my wife is acting foolishly as well as childish and irresponsible. The insurance money was meant to get an equal or better car than the one she wrecked.

Now, I believe she should also be free to do what she wants because it is her money, but I honestly believe she is going to regret her decision and we have been fighting for 2 days over it.

Who is right in your opinion ?
Am I being controlling ?

Undecided Question

Post adoptioin and kicking out after 18.. professional help?

So I was adopted in 2005 with my older sister, to my uncle and aunt (from Korea to America) at age of 13 and 15 for my sis. Because in 2005 us was in good economy and my uncle makes pretty big money (around $100,000 I believe? In year 2005) so they don’t want to pay whole bunch of taxes unless they spend on something. So instead, adopting children can do that and they will support me to educate (the reason why we’re here). So it can both benefit us, and my biological parents are not that fully economically support me, so that was some story about it.

During all the process, my biological parents paid everything. Yes every single step. And till now, my legal parents didn’t support enough except for shelter. My biological parents had to send for tuition, car, insurance, phone bill, clothes, etc. I heard that in order to declare as dependent, you have to pay 50%+ of their support, so I don’t think they did that. Even though biological parents shouldn’t sent money to adopted parents, we have all that transaction record. This is what happened for 5 years.

And they want us to out, because I am 18 years old. But it is not like we made trouble. During my high school I maintained good grades (3.9+) and my sisters on education too. (College) and they want us out because they don’t want to spend money on us and they took advantage of us before 18. (Tax cuts, returns, etc) and it wasn’t like they helped us to support ourselves. Even at the time my sister worked (part time job) he didn’t let us make credit cards. Yes we paid for my sister’s car at once! My dad should have amazing credit score and should do down pay and pay it monthly, but he didn’t because he was afraid that we will not pay for it (reasonable guess of mine).

I got tons of stories but that was brief explanation. So the question is..

In year 2005 they adopted us. But my biological parent keep sent money for our expenses and they did not pay almost anything.

And they want us out in this summer cuz they think their responsibilities are done

I think adoption for tax breaks is a huge crime and didn’t even supported us well

Is there any way we can get help or talk to?

I hope American laws are not that stupid enough to help us

We both are over 18 and were planning to work during summer

We are pretty mature than normal teenagers, to let you know

They took advantage of us and did not give it to us, not even basic parental support

i really appriciate professional help, but any kind comments will be appreciated

Thank you.

When I spend money I feel really guilty. I grew up kind of poor but when I was 15 my mom got a really good job and we don't have money issues now. I'm 19 now. I have a job and pay for my own school tuition, car payments, auto insurance and cell phone. I have a little over 4,000 in savings and I usually have like $200 left after my bills and gas and everything and I don't spend money out of my savings account. I need new clothes because I lost 90 pounds in the last year. I just realized every time I go shopping, I find things I want but I always feel guilty and so I put it back.. is this normal??

        Can I afford this house?

I'm 21 and live w/ my parents. I am in my 3rd yr of college and have a crappy job.

My credit score is 760.

I have $20,000 saved up, $10,000 of which I would feel comfortable spending on a down payment, closing costs, and minor home improvements.

I earn $1,800 a month after taxes.

I have no debt.

I spend $300 a month on groceries, clothes, gas, entertainment, etc.

My other bills (auto insurance and cell bill) are $150 a month.

I am expecting many to say no, but honestly there is a house I want that is $40,000.

Your opinion? Thanks

Am I wrong? I just wanna know regular thought and common sense…?

Im japanese girl and my husband is an American. We got married last year and our daughter is almost 3months. We moved to Japan last Nov. Then He has been talked on email and on chat with girl Who seems like not just friend. And He was bitching to me really even I was pregnant. When I asked about that girls ****. He always so mad just mad and sometimes he couldn't control his anger so He kicked, push, choked and hit my face a one time. And He has been working at 2 jobs for make money. But He lied me other night that had work. But He wasn't there. I had felt something wrong so I went to his work, took our car (that's my dad's car) and called him But he didn't say where is… But I know He went to somewhere in Tokyo and stayed over. So I kicked him out our house. It was about 2weeks ago…
We are living with my parents. Coz, I had a baby. And My parents has been helping us so much. He just pays about $400 a month to my dad. Actually He gets some food for us like 2times a month. Of course That's not enough. BUT He had been spent money for himself like get tattoo, game and clothes. So my parents wanna talk and mad at him. But They can't speak an English so I always be between them and He always complain to me.

Then after He kicked out, He gave me only $350. But I have to pay all bill this month. Cell, health insurance, food and baby's stuff… So I told him I need money. But He just said me "go get work now and Your just lazy. You stay home all day get off ur ***". He says He doesn't need to pay rent money, He says He isn't at house and doesn't wanna pay about my things Coz, "I" kicked him out. He said I don't bring any food, money and don't take care of him.
How do you think about his act and about everything? I'm Japanese. So Do I have wrong thought?

I bought health insurance for myself years ago when I graduated from College. I did not need anyone to tell me how important is was for me to purchase health insurance for myself as one of my top priorities.

Why were so many Liberals so lacking in intelligence that they needed Obamacare to tell them that they needed to buy health insurance for themselves before buying other " essentials " like $ 2500 Car Audio Systems, $ 1500 worth of Tattoos, $ 125 Sneakers, Tommy Hilfigar Clothes, etc. ?
