New car, new insurance title– all with daddy's name on it. And while I'm the one responsible for all payments, I'm torn on how to go about telling him. They suspended my license for 15 days, handed me a $429.00 ticket, and took 6 points off my license.
If I find a driving school and do lessons or however that's done, and present that on my court date, will this help at all…reduce the points taken off my license…something!?
I'm most concerned about what the hike on my auto insurance is going to look like..anyone have ideas as to what kinda damage I should be looking forward to?

In Illinois How does my driving record (20 F) affect my parents auto insurance if I'm not on their policy? I have my own car in my name and my own insurance policy in a different company than theirs. I do have 2 points on my record from a collision back in Oct. of 08' shortly after I got my license. Even than I had my own car and own insurance. I do live at home but I don't drive any of their cars ever.

I had an accident with a tractor trailer 2 weeks ago and just contacted with his insurance company, he hit me but is was documented in the police report that both were at fault. i have liability on the car, and was rushed to the hospital! do you think his insurance will pay for my 2001 saturn car? help? should I threaten his insurance company that I will sue him to get the money for the car and towing costs?

I do not have auto insurance so When I rent a car is Secondary insurance a replacment for insurance I do not have?

I bought auto insurance from AIG on-line; the policy does not state that I am or am not covered when renting a car. I live in Texas. The policy I have does note various 'endorsements' related to Texas. When I call the help desk at AIG and ask if I am covered, they cannot tell me. Does the Texas Auto Insurance endorsements require that my insurance go with me when renting a car? If I am also driving someone else's car, what coverage would go with me as part of standard Texas policy? I have Liability, Uninsured/underinsured, coverage for damage to my auto (other than collision/collision). When I rent a car from say Enterprise, if my own insurance is in force, what extra coverage should I get so I do not have to pay a thing if their car gets scratched or dented? thank you…..frustrated in Texas.

i'm 18 and i just aquired a new job about 20 miles away wich isn't bad but i get off at 3:00am and my mom isn't going for that. my bm is taking me but she said that i should get my license so i can just take her car. how does auto insurance work? will i have to have a down payment or something? my mom isn't putting me on her insurance and my bm has her own insurance but for less than six months, could i get on hers?

My care was rear ended by another car. The insurance company wants me to go to a body shop and have an estimate done and they'll pay the shop directly to have the repairs done. My car is a little dinged up right now but I need the money for something else. How can I claim the check for myself?
