Help with losing weight?

i'd like to lose some weight for prom, (its in 4 and half months) excersize-wise, i can only find the time to go the gym once a week. I do walk everywhere, but i know its not enough :( if anyone has an excersizes i can do for toning?
Also diet-wise, i don.t know what i should do.. So this is what im asking. Would it be better to just cut down my calories an have just 2 meals a day (breakfast and dinner at 6) or are there any good foods that would 'aid' weight loss or any foods i should stay away from? I know the obvious ones like burgers, any less-obvious? Thanks in advance!!

Is microwave popcorn bad for weight loss?

I know breathing in the steam once you open the bag isn't too good for you. But what about the popcorn itself? I was reading the nutritional values on the back of a box of Pop Weaver Butter Popcorn and it doesn't seem so. I read that, when popped, there are only 25 calories, 1g of total fat, 50mg sodium, and 3g of carbs per serving with only 2.5 servings per bag. I know the sodium level isn't good for weight loss, but everything else seems pretty ok to consume… So, overall, is microwavable popcorn bad for weight control?

Can anyone advise me in in a 5-10lb weight loss?

I can not seem to shed 5-10lbs that i gained int eh last year. I am a 26 yr old female, 5'3" and weigh 125lbs. I really do eat very healthy so this is why I am asking advise. I am a vegetarian and count my calories, I have stuck with 1,200 cals a day, work out 3-4 times aday, joggin 3 miles, weights, step classes… Still, everytime i get on the scales, it shows 125 – i just can not get rid of it. Its all excess weight around my tummy and sides that bothers me most. I have read up on alli, and thinking of trying this, but really hate resorting to pills, but I have tried everything else.

How long before i reach my goal of weight loss?

Im a 5'7 male and weight 185lbs.

2010 is a new change for me.

For Jan and beginning of Feb. I started running everyday for 30min for about 3-4 weeks. and i went from 190-185lbs, then it stopped.

so I recently started adding weight lifting in the mix. Mon(chest, tri)-Wed(biceps and back)-Fri(legs and shoulders) On Tue Thur and Sat(Cardio High intensity interval training 30sec hard 30 secs easy).

Now, my body needs about 2800 calories minus 500 that makes it 2300 cal a day, I usually hit 1800-2000. No junk/fast food. no soda's, no beer…just water

I am looking to go down to 170-175 lbs and 10-12% body fat.

How long will it take me to lose fat and build muscle? and am i on the right track?. Also, right now i am at 19% body fat.

What is better for weight loss? skiing or running?

What is better skiing for 4 hrs or running for 1 hr.
I understand that with sking ur burn more calories, but running i get more tired and it feels like a greater work out?

I have been trying for months, then for the past 3 weeks, I have been tying GNC Lean shake, take one for brekfast with fruit, a normal lunch, something like a vegetable burger wrap (all low fat/carb ones) with a yogurt, then go to gy, home and take the shake again. And in 3 weeks, i still have not lost a lb!

im starting a new low calories, sugar, and carb diet and i was told that drinking plenty of water helps with weight loss, but i wanted to know is drinking tap water ok or should it be spring water

Why am i so hungry?!?

Ok, so lately ive been extremely hungry and I want to binge so bad! The thing is I'm on a 3 month weight loss challenge(set up similar to "the biggest loser") at my local gym. I do 3 days of my trainers 1 hour workouts and 5-6 days of cardio for an hour. My team is on a diet of 1250-1450 calories, and I try and stay at 1250 eating 5 times a day every 3 hours. Were half way through the challenge and ive been doing great, though i was hungry throughout i started to get the hang of it. Within the last 2 weeks though, I've been extremely hungry!! Off diet im usually a binge eater, and I am fighting the urge to binge but i genuinely feel hungry no matter what i do. I dont know if this has to do with it but i switched shifts at work to 3rd shift 10:30pm to 7am 3 days and 1am to 9 am 2 days. Im a bit confused about how to work my eating schedule bc its like every couple days is different. I only get about 4 hours of sleep a day bc i have class 2-5pm and then the challenge and my cardio 6-8 pm, then back to work usually. Im sure noone wants to hear this but for some reason i feel like i could be pmsing also because for some reason im getting my period a week early even though im still on the pill until this saturday. I dont know if somethings wrong with my body and messing up my appetite or if its the stress of work and school or the crazy unstable eating schedule…or all 3, i just want some other opinions. What do you think it may be, and what should I do? Thanks for all youre help!

What will my final measurements be?

My current measurements:
Bust: 35
Waist: 28
Hips: 38

I want to lose around 15-20 pounds. I currently weigh 155. (So goal is around 135-140)

It's going to be a slow weight loss. I hope to reach my goal by the end of August this year.
What do you think my final measurements will be?
Obviously, there's no way of knowing until it happens but just an estimate please?

My diet plan is to limit myself to 1400-1500 calories a day, plus 30 minutes on an elliptical. Once it's warmer outside, I'll add 1 hour of walking to the elliptical.
