Can you direct a beneficiary to spend life insurance proceeds a specific way?

In the event that someone dies, can their life insurance proceeds be directed a specific way if they leave a note of such wish? If not, what must be done to direct the proceeds of a life insurance settlement so that specific things be done. For example: paying a bill or buying a house for the beneficiary.

If my mom has thousands in debt when she dies with no other estate to cover it, will her creditors be after me to pay her debts if they know she has a large life insurance policy and I'm the beneficiary?

Are we able to collection my grandfathers life insurance?

His beneficiary was his first wife that died in 1998. He remarried in 2001 and he died in 2008, they separated in Aug 07. His daughter has Durable POA and on his last will from 1998 his children are the only beneficiaries.

Life insurance policies and beneficiaries?

My father passed away, we were not close knit, but did keep in touch. His friend/boss said he has the life insurance policy and he's the beneficiary. I have a brother too, we used to be on the policy and didn't know he changed the beneficiary. Can we challenge this and what do you think the chances are that my brother and I would win. I am my fathers' namesake. Would a court award me and my brother even though the policy is left to a boss?

My Mother passed away and I was unaware that I was on her policy as beneficiary.I could not find the policy after her death, and signed a "lost policy" document at the funeral home.Moms premiums and the amount paid differed by $5000.00 but I could not argue the point.Do you know where the policy is and if you are the beneficiary?You need to.

Do creditors get a life insurance policy before the beneficiary?

if no, how do the creditiors get paid if the dead person had no property. Does it make a difference what kind of debt the dead policyholder had (e.g. credit cards, student loans, etc.)… Would the benefeciary or family members be responsible for paying that debt.

What Life Insurance FORM would you use on insured divorced spouse.?

There is such a Form that you can have your insured divorced spouse sign, to never be able to change his beneficiary, when you are paying the monthly premiums yourself and you are the current beneficiary. Thank you!
