Hi everyone. I am shopping for auto insurance and want to know the best but most affordable out there. My mother thought to put me on her policy with Progressive and I would pay her for the insurance, but they were going to charge her over $500.00 to do so. My friend has gotten into two accidents and hasn't had to pay nearly that much , and neither did her dad when he put her on his policy.

My semi-annual auto insurance renewal is coming up. I've shopped before and I think I'm already getting a damn good rate, but still I'd like to try to get an even better rate.

I've tried both Geico and Progressive, and both quoted me over $200 higher per year than I already pay. Any other good suggestions? This would be for coverage in California.

I am traveling in to Mexico (by Car) from California and am wondering if I get pulled over will the officer ask me for proof of insurance or is it more of a peace of mind thing over there

I need an arguement solved. i was on interstate and some rocks/debris flew off truck in front of me and damaged my windshield. everyone keeps telling me that my insurance will cover the windshield to be replaced but I do not see this in my policy at all. I only carry the basic minimum needed to insure car. Is there something I am missing or does anyone what these other people are talking about? I do not carry comp or collision.

Ok, I just was employed at a local State Farm Insurance office, my Job title is a assistant/ sales rep. But Utah has State requirments that anyone selling insurance has to take a test, to sell Insurance, I was wondering what the test intails, or if anyone knows where a sample link is so that I could possibly view it? An elderly lady I know was just involved in a fender-bender. The other party was young, rude, and claimed that my elderly friend hit her, saying, "You hit me! You drifted into my lane!" When the police officer asked the elder if that was true, my friend said, "well, maybe so." She said this because she was so rattled that she couldn't think of what to say, and now in hindsight she says, no, she thinks it wasn't true. She called the cops, who told her that whatever was stated while the police report was being written is the bottom line, and will be the basis for the insurance settlement. But isn't there something we can do to get her opinion–now more clear in hindsight–into that report?

I just recently got hired for a parking valet position.

In the interview, I was asked if I was insured, which I am. But, my brother told me one of his friends did the same thing, and the whole problem with the employer not providing parking valet insurance for his employees, anytime the valet causes a ding or a dent, the valet's own personal insurance premium raises to $500 to pay off that one incident, and $500 for each incident that occurs.

Can anyone clarify the responsibilities I have with my own auto-insurance, while working, if the employer hasn't specifically elaborated on their company even having a parking insurance to cover its employees?
