Ok, about a week and a half ago I accidentally hit the car next to mine while backing out of my parking space. I got out and looked for damage and I had scraped against the door handle. I left a note but I haven't been contacted by anyone, I didn't even see the scraped handle until after I had breathed a sigh of relief that their was no damage (unfortunately I was wrong). I know since I left a note it isn't technically a hit and run, but I'm afraid the note fell off. What scares me the most is where this happened. It was in my county's courthouse parking lot. That's right next door to our towns police station. And I've never actually seen any security cameras outside of either of them. I'm hoping that the person I hit just didn't think it was worth the increase in insurance for a scraped door handle. But I'm afraid that if I am accused of a hit and run they may try to rail road me for it happening in their own parking lot. And If it was a judges car I'm sure I'm screwed… So, what are the chances that that would happen? I only had one piece of paper and I used that for the note I left so I didn't write down down the other license plate. If they do manage to find me and accuse me of a hit and run, how long would it take for them to find me if the note was lost. No one contacted my insurance company either. Any advice would be welcome.

Im 17 and this is my first vehicle, Please don't tell me that i don't need a v8 or something like that. So i need to know what i will be paying monthly to insure it. Can some of you guys who have the same car help me out here. Im from Kelowna, Bc, Canada

I have 5500 dollars. I wan to to buy a car but insurance in New York is hugely expensive. And I am not working.. What can I do?? Please leave me some advices..

I have a 1999 SEL(?) Ford Windstar with about 85K on it. It has always ran well, with no major problems, until 2 days ago. The car stopped working and it looks very likely that the transmission will have to be replaced, and I was given a rough estimate that it will cost $2,500 to $3,500, plus $400 for new front brake pads. I am trying to determine whether it is worth the investment to pay this much to fix the car or simply look for a replacement car and having to fork out the monthly car payments, increased insurance, increased taxes, etc. I am not a car expert so I would appreciate any input, to include what things I should be doing or thinking about to make an informed decision.

for my GPA, i have an A and 2 C+'s, witch letter wise isnt a B average. but if you average out the %'s it is 81.7 witch is a B average.

What do they take for auto insurance the letters, or the %'s

I drive a stick shift car and after turning on my engine, I put it in neutral and pulled the safety brakes. I was fidgeting with my backpack and I let the car slide and hit the front of the other car in the parking lot. There were only some scratches, a very small dent, and that is it.
I know that it is hard to estimate, but would this be approximately under $500? (I have never been in a car accident so I am not familiar)
How can I ask the other driver if I can pay under the table? I am still waiting for his call, and I do not want my insurance rates going up!

my boyfriend's graduation is in a week. im flying to there from california so i
plan to rent a car. To enter the base I have to show my ID, registration and insurance.
I can get that from the rental place right? sorry I know Im asking stupid questions
but I want to make sure because I've never rented a car in the States.

Also what documents do I need to get a vistor's pass?

If there are other things I need to know please let me know.

hi i am going to be turning 16 soon and i want to get my own car but dont want to pay for high insurance but i thought… Can i get a car and put it under my moms name so the insurace will be cheaper so techncally my mom then would own 2 cars then when im 18 she can change it under my name when i move out thanks

Hello everyone. I am an 18 year old college student and im looking to get my self a car. I work in a department store making $250 a week. Im looking to get a Nissan Maxima. Its $9,000. Would i be able to get an auto loan from my bank? And would i be able to handle paying the auto loan monthly payments and auto insurance?
