temp custody in Ohio?

Temp custody in Ohio?

If my cousin wants to give me temp custody of her 3 year old daughter for atleast 6 months while she gets her life in order can she do that? Right now her daughter is just staying with me either way but we were thinking about temp custody since it may be a longer term thing, but my cousin wants the option to take her daughter back as well. My cousin has 3 other kids, 1 is staying with his dad out of state until atleast this summer (they agreed on joint custody the other day) and 1 stays a lot with his dad (shared parenting I guess was agreed upon there) but the youngest two don't have anyone else to take them and so I am taking in the little girl but since I am only a cousin what legal things can be done so I can make sure she is safe here?

Trip to Omaha next month. Where to visit?

Next month my husband and I are going with his sister and some other family members to Omaha Nebraska. We're planing on staying for the weekend (Friday through Sunday) and the only thing we know for sure we want to do is visit the zoo. We are taking two young children, under five, so any idea would help a lot. thanks

I wish I had someone to call dad?

by on Mar.18, 2010, under STAYING YOUNG

I wish I had someone to call dad?

My parents had me when they were young. My father was around 15 and my mother was almost 18. After awhile I ended up with my grandmother, as my mother didn't want to deal with me. And my father was on the streets selling drugs and getting locked up, he was too young and immature to be considered anyone's father.

So its been like that, I was raised by my grandma, and I thank her for taking me in but I still wish I had a father, someone I could call dad and would care about me like a father. Recently my mother got back in contact me after 8 years. My dad has always been around, but not close to me in any form. I've seen the type of person that he is and I just have no respect for him at all. He use to give drugs to my cousins, he brags about having sex with women. He got married and beats the living crap out of his Step-Sons and his curses and drinks a lot. He doesn't have a job either. And he stole money from me as well as a Playstation and XBox that I was given for Christmas when I was 12. People tell me I'm wise beyond my age and I guess that comes from having to grow up kind of faster than most kids.

I needed my parents the most when I was in Middle School, I'd get constantly bullied mostly mentally thought and I became severely depressed and attempted suicide several times.

I just wish my parents would have cared, and I wish my father would have grown up and that I could give him a hug. Recently he's settled down and had a son with his wife, maybe he'll be a better example for him than he was for me, I can feel that he still has some more growing up to do but he's beginning to get their. They live in a small apartment because their kind of poor, but its some progress.

In the mean time, what about me? I try to get over it but I end up going in circles. All I keep asking myself is why? I wonder sometimes where was my parents affection when I needed it the most, and why am I here? Why was I born. I can't stay strong any longer. One day very soon I might kill myself.

a question about immigration/visa?

by on Mar.18, 2010, under STAYING YOUNG

A question about immigration/visa?

My son has become friends with a 20yr old South African citizen who is actually of Indian decent.

This young man's father has a work visa and has been in the states for years working as a pharmacist. He lived with his father and went to high school here. He has been able to stay because of his father's visa. Now, he's about to turn 21 and his choice is to marry a citizen or get sent back?
What else can he do to stay?
He's a great person, has high moral standards, great work ethic, and is a person of integrity.
He would make a great citizen….
What can we do for him?

Wish that we could deport some of our rotten citizens in exchange!

Do you feel our modern society suffers from a lack of influence by our elders?

Do you feel our modern society suffers from a lack of influence by our elders?

I am speaking specifically about how native cultures are usually guided by a council of elders of older men and women who would help make decisions for their group?
This would have been older family members who would deliberate and weigh things out, having the knowledge of experience as a guide. Our elderly today are treated as sub-members of society as we race to stay young. Your thoughts?

Should I let my mother-in-law move out?

by on Mar.18, 2010, under STAYING YOUNG

Should I let my mother-in-law move out?

My mother-in-law is a very unhappy woman. I just don't like her personality. Her own kids fight with her. The only one that feels sorry for her is my boyfriend. she has been living with us for 3 years. The other day I had an argument with her and my boyfriend. Before you start feeling sorry for her, you should know that she is still young and healthy. She is staying with us so that she can work to send money back home, where her 16 year old son and boyfriend live. She contributes a few bucks a week to the house, but most of her money is sent to her hubby. She doesn't talk to me and walks around my house with a bad attitude. I am the one paying the entire rent each month because my boyfriend can't find a job. A few years ago I found my name in the freezer, she was doing some type of voodoo on me. she told me that I almost died this year because I am not nice to her, She thinks that GOD punishes people who do bad things to her because she is an innocent person… I think she might be crazy. She also tries to make her kids feel guilty about the fact that she had to raise them on her own because she got divorced twice. She also accused me of putting nasty spells on her son, I have never done anything like that to anyone. Am I wrong for not liking her? Now she wants to leave, I think she should but I know my boyfriend is sad. I feel like this could ruin my ten year relationship. What should I do? Apologize and beg her to stay or help her pack?

I have no choice? What should I do?

by on Mar.18, 2010, under STAYING YOUNG

I have no choice? What should I do?

0I am suffering. I am in debt. Hundreds and Thousands of dollars.

This has been happening for 10 months. I have been a stay at home mother since my first child, 13 years ago. We got into debt, we sacrificed some things, and my husband has been working 70-100 hours a week.

No difference. We are sinking. I have no other choice, but to go back to work as a childrens doctor/sugeon, 70 hours a week, 7 days a week.

I must go back on March 21st.

I have 6 children, I cannot see. Young children.

I do not want to put them in a daycare, because I bet they are expensive, these days, and they would complain not being at home.

Should I have my 13 year old son watch them?
Should I have a neighbor come wake them up, and feed them, and babysit them?
Should I have a nanny?

What can I do?

I dont want to go to work 70+ hours a week, and miss my childrens life, (Ages 13, 11, 7, 5, 3, 1).
I know I wont have any days off, nor vacations because we would be in debt even more.
But I dont want our family to be let down and us to suffer and not let them do sports and do and have fun things/toys!

What should I do?

Parents, would you hire this nanny?

by on Mar.18, 2010, under STAYING YOUNG

Parents, would you hire this nanny?

Hi. I have 6 children. Ages 13, 11, 7, 5, 3, and 1.
We have some money issues in the family, but they are NOT too major. Just a few hundred dollars in debt.

I have to give up my job as a stay at home mommy, and get my license in doctoring, again.

I will be working- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, from 8:00 am- 6:00 pm. I will be working at a hospital and in the childrens intensive care unit (CICU). That is for children with major diseases and all of that. I will also be a trainer for new staffers, a surgeon, and a nurse.

My husband is a doctor, too. He will be working the same shifts. We dont want the children to be in day care, so we decided to hire a nanny. So I found a flyer in my newspaper, so I will post it on here, and please tell me your suggestions on this nanny and if I should hire her! Thanks!

NANNY!

Hi, my name is Cailey, and I am 22.
I am a nanny. I have much, much experience. I have little siblings, and I have been "Helping" my mother with the "kids" since age 2. My mother also had a daycare, with 10 children, so I have been helping there, too, since a young age. I took babysitting classes and CPR and all of it since age 12, and I have been babysitting since age 13. I have been a nanny, since age 19, so 3 years of experience in being a nanny.

I can work 50+ hours a week, for just 1 family. I will choose 1 family. I can live with you and your family, or live in my current apartment. I can accept $1,500 or more dollars a month, due to my hours I may serve.

I can work with any children. Multiples, Special Needed or just a normal. I can do as many children. I served a family for 6 months, and they had 12 children, young children.

I can take them to activities and stuff, and I will do crafts and field trips with them.
I will do the job correctly and I hope to be apart of your family.

Backround checks are acceptable, and if you want me, I will ask you many questions about the house and family and stuff!

Here is my info:

Phone: Cell- *** *** **** Home- *** *** ****
